Our Malaga factory has been purpose built to deliver the best Powdercoating finishes in Perth. PT Powdercoaters and Sandblasting Services are able to help you with the surface preparation of a wide range of metal substrates including mild steel, wrought iron, aluminium and stainless steel. A primer is applied to ensure a good adhesion between the surface of the parts and the powder coating.
Powder coating is extremely resistant to chipping, flaking, solvents, corrosives, and general wear and tear. This durability makes powder coating a superior protective coating for all metal products. The coating is evenly applied in a powder form and then baked, resulting in a hard, smooth, paint-like finish that will bend with the metal if dented or struck.
The basis of any good coating is preparation. Prior to powder coating of steel or galvanised substrate it must be properly prepared using abrasive blasting. We use an 80gl steel grit in our blasting, which is very clean and doesn't leave contaminates in the substrate. It is a very important process used not only to remove rust, paint and scale but to prepare surfaces for high adhesion with the powder coat.
The Surreal Effects range of products include Mannex Textures, Scylla Ripples, Aztec Hammer and interior grade Sarouk Matt RIpple effects that have been designed to cleverly hide surface defects on fabricated metals, whilst providing interesting tactile surfaces. The range combines decorative and appealng patterned effects with excellent overall performance and are suitable for application over various substrates including steel and aluminium.
OEM tested, Interpon GripTex powder coating is an excellent alternative to wet paint and non-slip tape as it is durable, long lasting and cost effective. Interpon GripTex is applied using a 2-coat system: basecoat and top coat. It is easy to use and offers all the application benefits of powder coating.
