Chapel Sewing Solutions started in 2000 as a part time alterations business run from a spare room at home. Today, we are conveniently located just a few minutes from the city in Unley. We offer an extensive range of sewing services and products and aim to be an one stop shop for all your sewing needs.
Trading hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm and Saturday 9.00am to 4.00pm. Times are also available Thursday nights for your convenience. We employ talented and qualified team members, who all have a common goal of providing a pleasant and caring experience to you, our client.

Services
We do all types of clothing alterations and repairs for a wide range of customers from manufacturers, schools, dry cleaners, retail stores and of course the general public. Whether you have lost or put on weight, purchased a garment that is not quite the right size or you have an irregular body shape, we can fix it!
Colours - The actual fabric and lace colours may vary to those shown on this website due to photographic processes or your individual computer display settings. Non-supply - Chapel Sewing Solutions shall not be liable in damages to the Buyer for the non-supply of goods which are the subject of a purchase order predating any determination or delivery.
When it comes to threads, we've got it all stitched up. We have an incredible variety of weights, colours, and make ups to suit every application imaginable. Rasant and Mettler are just some of the big brands we have available on site. If you require an odd colour, we will split boxes and delivery is available if you prefer.
Rasant is a premium general-purpose thread. It is a core spun thread with a polyester core and cotton cover. This combination gives the thread a high breaking resistance and a well-balanced elongation behaviour. It also has a high thermal resistance and low static qualities. These characteristics combined make Rasant a favourite with industrial sewers and quilters.
We have a great range of accessories to compliment your formal gown. They include a variety of ties from the standard men's tie to cravats, fat boys, cummerbunds and bow ties. Veils, fur shoulder wraps, and chiffon wraps as well as dilly bags can be supplied. Hoops are also available for hire or purchase.

I have used the service chapel sewing solutions on a number of occasions. And have always been very satisfied, with alterations & staff..But not on this particular occasion. I was bitterly disappointed with the finished alterations, as the fine material was badly flawed and ruined. In taking my garments back Connie's reaction to my garments being ruined, was utter denial & she wasn't taking any responsibility for the damage to my garments. I took my damaged items to another tailor & he advised me that the damage had been caused by a blunt needle in the sewing machine. I'm Sad!! & very disappointed

Recently i bought a second hand pram that required a mesh cover to block out the sun. The pram had no zipper liner to attach the pram cover. I called around a few sewing places who advised to go to spotlight (which didn't have a zipper long enough) to buy zippers and weren't sure if the job was do-able.
It was by chance I googled Chapel Sewing.
When I went into store, they had a zipper long enough (>100cm) and said it's no problem to sew on. Without any fuss. When I picked it up, it was perfect !! The quality of the sewing was amazing, it was just like a bought one. So grateful for their help

I liked the friendly staff.
I had several slacks to be shortened and found the change rooms to be spacious and clean.
I was surprised at the low cost for hemming, as elsewhere I had paid $4 more per item. The sewing was excellent.
I also had dry cleaning done through the store.
I most certainly will return and recommend to friends. 🙂

Never been able to fault their service.
More than happy to cater for dietary requirements. Their efforts in assisting people like myself with complex dietary needs trying to still enjoy life with friends took so much stress off, they happily (no hesitation at all, no eye ruling like some places) were happy to provide me with all ingredients and were happy for me to pick and choose ingredients so I wouldnt have to worry about consequences.
I find them resonably priced for a restaurant and find the meals appropriate in size.
Parking lot makes it easy for customers as the road is a bike lane.
