HyDrive's top of the range ADMIRAL SERIES is most suitable for HIGH HORSEPOWER installations on leisure or commercial boats. The Admiral Series of outboard kits would be your optimum choice. HyDrive's budget rated COMMANDER SERIES offers quality steering at a budget price range and is suitable for LOWER HORSEPOWER installations on leisure boats.
The Commander Series is designed to offer a budget range of hydraulic steering to leisure boat users without sacrificing quality and performance. The new range is designed for use on smaller horsepower outboards and also inboards and jets. For larger outboard applications, the Commander Series PRO versions which upgrade the helm units to the model 401 or 101 offer a wider range of HP capacities and commercial applications.
The Admiral Series is recognised world-wide as probably the most powerful and corrosion- resistant range of outboard steering systems available for outboards. For high horsepower installations on leisure or commercial vessels, the Admiral Series is the optimum choice. There are no direct equivalents made by other manufacturers, who almost exclusively manufacture their cylinders from aluminium.
The HyDrive E-Series Commander system provides a very simple and reliable electronic steering system which can be fitted to either new boats, or to boats already fitted with power- assisted steering systems. The standard system can provide up to 3 follow-up positions and virtually unlimited non-follow-up (joystick) positions for versatile steering on even large vessels.
