Current and returning clients can contact the clinic via our Contact page or phone us anytime on: 0407 322 119. All clients will attend an initial intake appointment. Parents can refer their children directly by contacting the service and making an initial intake appointment. This appointment is set for one hour and covers case history, observation, informal assessment and, if indicated, formal assessment may be commenced.
Using assessment tools we can diagnose specific areas of difficulty and develop an appropriate treatment plan in consultation with you as illustrated below. Services
Sonia graduated from LaTrobe University, Bundoora in 1994. She has worked as a Speech Pathologist with the Education Department in Queensland and Victoria before moving to Shepparton in 1998. She was employed by Goulburn Valley Health in the Rural Health Team, Language and Development Clinic and in Community Health.
We are current members of Speech Pathology Australia, the national peak body for the Speech Pathology profession in Australia and have up to date certification through successful participation in the association's Professional Self-Regulation program. Speech Pathologists apply the National Code of Conduct for General Health Services to all of their professional interactions.
The Secret Agent Society Program is a social skills intervention program designed to improve the emotional understanding and social skills of high-functioning 8 to 12 year old children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. A Multi-Level animated computer game teaching emotional recognition, emotional regulation and social competence.
The GP determines whether or not a client is eligible for this program. Clients who have chronic and complex conditions may be eligible. If a client is eligible for this program their GP will write a Care Plan for them which is then provided to the Private Speech Pathologist. The GP will nominate up to 5 Speech Pathology services per calendar year on the Care Plan.
