If you are considering getting your floors sanded then it is important to achieve a first class finish. If your old wooden floor is expertly restored it could actually increase the value of your property. Nails can severely damage the sanding machines so all nails in the floor are punched down. Any tacks or small nails left from carpet tack strips or vinyl edging need to be removed to reduce the possibility of damage.
When visiting your home for an obligation free quote, I will inspect and measure the timber floor areas to be sanded, advise and discuss coating options and the correct procedure to bring out the best possible results in your timber floors. If any of the existing floorboards show signs of damage which will not be removed by the sanding process they may need replacement before the sanding can begin.

Use throw rugs at doorways to help prevent debris from being tracked in and scratching the floor. Put stick-on felt protectors under the legs of furniture to prevent scuffing and scratching.

Our floors look absolutely brilliant after an excellent job from Michael. We did not imagine they would look that good, which is a result of the craftsmanship and high quality work he does.
