Harbour Lights Caravan Park is ideally located adjacent to the Harbour and Front beach. This small Top Tourist Park has lots of shady trees, is extremely quiet with great views and the friendly hospitality of a country town by the sea. Adjacent to the park, Bowen's foreshore area has been transformed into a recreational area that includes a "Water Park" a first class Skate park, children's playground, shared walking & cycle tracks, public barbecues, grassy picnic areas, amphitheatre and interpretive centre.

Should have read recent review, my bad.
Recommend you don't book ahead and inspect before paying.
Having stayed at Harbour Lights a few times in our van, which was fine, my wife booked a cabin for herself and grandson, being close to the waterpark and foreshore walks.
On arriving in the cabin, it was extremely hot so she switched on the air-conditioner but soon realised there was little cooling. She was told it was OK. The ac unit was filthy. After 2 hours the room was still unbearably hot.
After being refused a refund, my wife moved to the Port Denison Motel (wonderful service).

Staff are friendly and helpful. Good services and 4 long blocks walk to the shops. Be prepared to drive or wait 30 minutes for a taxi. The pool is great except for the non defined steps into it and the sides are angled like this: \ / that makes it awkward to reach the edges. It's a G'Days park and directly opposite the water front. As long as one is stocked up, I would happily go back. Food and service at The North Australian pub was terrific.

You dont know what the problem was? Let me help you understand...
Upon checking in the rude lady said "vaccination status?" I politely replied im sorry i was unaware I had to be double vaccinated to come stay here..the rude lady then spoke to me like I was a diseased bit of garbage saying "how dare I come and put everyone at risk" I then said I dont like how you are speaking to me...which the rude lady got louder yelling she was talking to me fine which i said "can you hear yourself right now?"
You did

Firstly, BRING YOUR REPELLANT for the midges! (And I am a local used to them!)
Secondly, No afternoon check in until 3PM!
Third: Oh the smell! The room deodoriser was so strong that it could be smelt when you walked around the caravan park. It permeated the air from the cabins!
The park cabins were adequate and clean, but we didn't make it from the car to the cabin without being bitten alive by the midges. I wasn't prepared for this. A little warning to guests would be worthwhile. The bed was comfortable. The aircon was good. I didn't think there was a electric jug until we got down at ground
