Ballet is a passion for Julia and Damian. And so, Studio Tibor is a natural extension of their love of classical ballet. We recognise the growing importance of dance in Australian culture. We have seen young hopefuls become shining lights. We have watched as adult students leave their normal working day behind and blossom into confident beings.
Most of all, we have craved for a place we can call our own. Studio Tibor is more than a building. The walls are vibrating with the enthusiasm of our students, many of whom have followed us around from place to place over the years and are thrilled to finally have a permanent 'home'. The sense of community is important - students young and old are encouraged to enjoy a cup of coffee and free wi-fi.

In addition, following updated health advice from the Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant about the growing risk to the community, stay-at-home orders are being introduced for at least one week for those who live in, or whose usual place of work is in, Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick and City of Sydney Councils.
Our Adult Ballet classes are run each week all year. You can come as often as you like, whenever you like. They are all drop in, no need to book or call ahead, just show up when you're ready to work!. We've got a great selection of teachers and levels for adults ranging from classical ballet and pointe classes to variation, so you'll be sure to find one just right for you!.
If you are new to ballet this is the class and level for you. You will methodically learn the positions of the feet and arms, how to coordinate and combining them while being introduced to the vocabulary of ballet terms such as Pli, Tendu and Dgag. More experienced students will benefit from this class as they reinforce the very first steps of ballet class at the barre.
The very core of Studio Tibor, classical ballet open class for adult students. Exceptional teachers from various countries around the world teach using the influences of Russian, French, Italian and American styles in an open class format.
All our teachers are ex dancers from National and International companies including: The Australian Ballet, Finnish National Ballet, Royal Ballet, National Theatre Mannheim, Sydney Dance Company, English National Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, Cairo Ballet Company, Royal New Zealand Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet Company, and Queensland Ballet.For students who have little to no previous experience of participating in a ballet class.

Many adult students have reported using the skills they learn in Studio Tibor ballet classes to benefit their day to day life. Julia has been teaching adult ballet classes since she first arrived to Australia several years ago. Adult ballet classes are geared toward a student with limited or no previous ballet experience all the way up to ex-professional dancers.

Fantastic studio for adult beginners with no prior dance experience! Damian greeted us in such a warm and friendly manner which helped us relax straight away! The fellow students are very kind. Fenella is a wonderful instructor! She makes you feel included, she gives you confidence, she is lovely and friendly and explains everything clearly. I can't recommend this studio enough!

Started my first step ballet class in Tibor studio. It's a wonderful experience. I have no experience before, and my friend recommended this studio to me. It surprised me in the end. The reception staff is lovely and the teacher is patient, talent and lovely too. Bought my 10 classes pass straight away after my first try. Recommend to adult beginner! :)

Studio Tibor is very much a boutique ballet studio, and I’d go so far as to call it a ballet conservatory for adults of every level. The teachers are truly invested in teaching ballet to students who just so happen to be adults — ballet doesn’t get dumbed down just because we’re not going to pursue a ballet career.
Classes focus on technique, artistry and musicality, and there are multiple levels so everyone from seasoned professionals to ‘never pointed a foot in my life’ adults can find a class that works for them.
