Conveyancing is the process of passing ownership of property (also called "real property") such that the title to the property is conveyed from the vendor to the purchaser. There are many laws that have developed over time in relation to the conveyance of property in NSW.
The laws place certain obligations on vendors to disclose important information about the property to prospective purchasers, such as local council zoning and any easements affecting the property. All this information is bundled into the Contract for Sale of Land which your solicitor prepares and provides to the real estate agent, which allows the agent to begin marketing the property.
