Services
Free on-site parking is available. Enter via Head street. Additional free 2hr parking is available on the street and in the car park located off Head St. We expect payment on the day of treatment and for your convenience, we accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, EFTPOS, and personal cheque. Private Health Insurance: To save you time claiming on your private health insurance, we have an electronic system called HICAPS at our office.
Dr John Chen is the principal dentist at Boroondara Dental. He graduated from The University of Melbourne in Year 2000 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. He is an active member of the Australian Dental Association and is currently the Chair of the Third-Party Committee of the Australia Dental Association Victorian Branch.
Before attending your first appointment, you will need to provide some personal information. This information is handled with the strictest confidence and will not be provided to a third party without your consent. You can download a medical and dental questionnaire here. All our records are computerised and we have digital x-rays.
At Boroondara Dental, your health and safety is our highest priority. All our staff are trained in stringent hygiene and safety policies, in line with the guidelines as set by the Australian Dental Association (ADA). All our staff members undertake ongoing training and follow regulations meticulously.

What a wonderful team John and Rebekah are. The customer is always at the forefront of their mind, they look after you exceptionally, and genuinely care about your dental needs. I highly recommend John as a dentist he’s probably the best interests of had in 25 years. John is very professional calm warm and friendly and will always listen carefully and give you advice that is tailored to your specific requirements.

I have always been to Boroondara Dental, Dr John Chen has always given me the best possible service and attention needed. Not only is he and his staff very professional and terrific at what they do but their interpersonal skills are wonderful as well, even seeing them every six months for a cleaning Dr Chen is always interested in what we have been up to and extremely considerate of our entire family and their health. I would strongly recommend Boroondara Dental because they are extremely polite and will not steer you wrong when it comes to dental treatment/advice.

John's been my dentist for about 5 years now. He is really gentle and caring, and I've never experienced any pain during dental procedures, unlike with some other dentists. He's also more happy to answer questions and explain what needs to be done to your teeth than any dentist or doctor I've ever met. I'd highly recommend him.

Dr Chen is a highly professional, patient and experienced dentist. When I went to see him for a dental emergency, he handled the situation with utmost care and patience. His staff are very friendly and respectful and they always follow up with phone calls to make sure their patients are happy with their treatments. Highly recommended!
