CD replication involves making exacting copies of CDs from a glass master through plastic injection moulding. The process for DVD replication is similar though can contain more than one layer. CD duplication involves printing onto a pre-manufactured disc and then putting the content on with a CD burner.
When manufacturing CDs any runs under 500 done by the CD duplication method and any runs over 500 done via CD replication. The choice of which one to go for can sometimes be denoted by the per unit cost. CD replication is much faster it is completed at a lower cost. CD duplication usually has a higher manufacturing cost and is ideal for shorter runs under 500.

Sometimes this is called CD pressing or DVD pressing as opposed to duplicated discs that are burnt. CD replication run sizes start at 500 units and go upwards from there to whatever is needed.

Just as DVD duplication is done by burning DVD. After 10 years(est 2003) of CD duplication and over 800,000 discs burnt in that time we are confident that we are delivering the best product available.
