Divide lengths longer than 12 metres into two lengths and add 0.1 metres to allow for the overlap join. You'll need one gutter clip for each metre of gutter. Determine the number of gutter clips required and whether they are to be fixed to a timber or metal structure. Down pipes don't usually need to be replaced each time you replace your gutters.

If you do need to replace the full down pipe a standard down pipe will require two 1.8metre lengths of down pipe.
