This is why I do what I do. Originally from South Africa and now an Australian Citizen, I have almost 20 years of clinical experience in various clinical settings.

I completed my studies in Chiropractic in 2002 in Johannesburg, South Africa with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic - it included research into TMJ (jaw joint) for which I received a Unilever Travel Award from the IDRA.We moved to Australia in 2009 where practised in Innisfail, Townsville, Bowen and Charters Towers before making Brisbane our home in 2015.

Fantastic. Was scared and uneducated about a chiro, but have come to trust Jan and his practice. Body is more free. Pain that has lasted decades has reduced. Pain has not vanished but has given immense relief

I’ve struggled with back and neck pain for years. I’ve had every other treatment (other than chiro) for years with little to no relief. Within a handful of visits from Jan and continued treatments I am completely pain free. Amazing! Can’t recommend more highly.

I have been seeing Dr Jan for a couple of years now and I always find him to be very professional, thorough, and passionate about his line of work. He genuinely cares about his patients wellbeing and really takes the time to help fix your problems, even combining different treatments such as massage or dry needling if required. Also he is very knowledgeable on the topic of TMJ, and his treatment approach is very effective, so if you have jaw problems, go see him! I like the easy online booking system and the fact that there’s never any pressure to rebook your next appointment, he just leaves

He can arrange home visits or you can travel to him.

We called out these guys for a mobile visit due to my husband not being able to move. A lovely man called Jan Jones turned up at the time that was booked and his service was well worth his cost. My husband couldnt move when jan first arrived and was moving steadily before Jan left. I will recommend Jan and Silky Oak in the future to anyone that needs the help. Thanks guys!!
