St Margaret's Kindergarten
Our playgroup is a wonderful way for your family to be introduced to the welcoming and nurturing community of St Margaret's Kindergarten. Every child is a unique individual and that children learn best through play and discovery and through being actively involved in their learning. St Margaret's Kindergarten is an affiliated centre with the Department of Education and Child Development (DECD).

We are located in a federation villa, next to a spacious park and playground, in Norman St, Woodville. We are fortunate to have a wonderful, spacious outdoor area which includes an amphitheatre, lawn area, cubby, a large sand pit and rock pools for exploring water play. Our garden area includes native trees and bushes and an edible garden with fruit trees, vegetables and herbs.

At St Margaret's we are committed to providing a quality educational program that is inclusive of all children in our care. Our most important, common goal is the wellbeing of the children. We believe that a happy atmosphere is conducive to learning, to developing positive self esteem and to acquiring the foundations of life skills.
Our playgroup is a wonderful way for your family to be introduced to the welcoming and nurturing community of St Margaret's Kindergarten. The playgroup is run by the parents/caregivers with support from our playgroup coordinator, Marina. Parents/Caregivers are responsible for the safety of their children at all times during playgroup sessions.
We believe that every child is a unique individual and that children learn best through play and discovery and through being actively involved in their learning. Our play based curriculum allows children to make independent choices and allows for individual development.

We use 'Belonging, Being and Becoming - The Early Years Learning Framework' to guide the planning, implementation and reflection of learning programs for the children at our kindergarten.The Early Years Learning Framework describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.
