With Pre-formed shower bases, we always recommend applying waterproof membranes both under & over the screed. We recommend a sheet membrane under the screed and a liquid membrane over the top of the screed. If fall has been built into the balcony, we offer the Ardex WPM 1000 Butynol Sheet Membrane system which can be used on suitable external substrates such as external scyon and compressed cement sheet.
