Softfall Pty Ltd has been in the business of synthetic surfacing since 1982 and the company is considered a leader in the industry. The company has a strong reputation for delivering high quality innovative, creative and exciting solutions. We trade under the name of Gadsby Surface Solutions. We are located in Smithfield NSW in our own warehouse and stock our raw materials there.

The thickness of the Softfall base is dependant on the free height of fall of the various peices of equipement. A coloured Softrax wet pour rubber wear layer, usually 15-20mm in thickness is then installed over the Softfall base. Colourful designs and shapes may be incorporated into this surface. The top layer comes in several types, however, the three that we commonly install are EPDM, precoloured styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and TPV.

Synthetic grass now comes in a variety of styles but the most commonly installed is the 19mm product as seen in council playgrounds and child care centres. However, more and more child care centres, schools and private residences are requesting a more natural looking synthetic grass. This type of synthetic grass comes in a range of pile heights but mainly in 35 to 40mm in length.

Softfall has become a generic term for any impact attenuation product. Examples are sand, bark chip, synthetic grass, wet pour rubber, rubber tiles or other exotic products. Although we have supplied all types, we primarily deal with synthetic grass and wet pour rubber Softfall. The Softfall tradionally used under synthetic grass is an EVA closed cell impact absorbing foam.
