Booked a site inspection for a quote for two outdoor blinds, a day before the appointment i canceled it. I just had a bad feeling about this company as during the confirmation phone call, the person tried to tell me that I will need 1 hour for this consultation and I will need to put down a secure deposit in order to book secure the installation date. smell something funny here, so I canceled it.

Australian Outdoor Living (AOL) are a premier company, and I was impressed with: their quality of work, their 'can-do' attitude, their efficiency and timeliness.
We had a carport erected on an 'oddly positioned' house. (The house was angled on a block, and the carport had to match that.) ... With AOL - no problem. The site was assessed, plans were shown to us, Council approval was gained, and work commenced, and concluded in excellent time. We are very happy with the outcome!
The result was exactly what we wanted. Admin. Staff and on-site workers were professional, courteous and accommodating

I would prefer to give no stars. We organised for a quote for outdoor blinds. Rep turned up but would NOT continue to measure and quote unless we signed up on the day despite booking a free measure and quote. Rep was very rude and said we had wasted his time. All we wanted was the quote and to have a chat privately without the rep there. We have now gone with another company. Be aware of these tactics to get you to sign on the day of the quote.

Melbourne, Vic - I saw these guys at a small kiosk at my local shopping centre and thought why not get a quote. Two months later, I had a new backyard. They were so easy going to deal with, nothing was a fuss given I had a huge concrete slab that needed to be removed and plumbing issues.
The lockdown in Melbs set me back a tiny bit but nonetheless, they took priority in helping me get rid of my backyard weeds and achieve an aesthetic I was after. Richard came past, sprayed the weeds- organised the whole thing. A couple of boys uprooted the ground, layed the best quality turf and it all took 1

A good company that is strong in its build. The logistic is very smooth and all spec are with technical drawings that left no ambiguity. Helped me get the permit without any issue. All things done by the book. Inspector come 3 times to check. But do not expect complicated tailor made stuff. They provide 30 year structural warranty to my build hence I guess why they are not giving me quotes in more fancy design that are not their specialty.

Recently installed verandah through AOL. Can't speak highly enough of the service received (from the quoting process, deciding the roof color, getting permit till the installation). Jimmy has been my go to guy from the get go, giving me quote, suggestion of the verandah style, answering any question I have. Charlie and his apprentice that has come in to do the verandah installation is very professional as well, on time and the quality of the works is really good. Very happy in the end with my decision to build the verandah to AOL.
