Eco Abrolhos is a family owned and operated business, run by Jay and Sonia Cox along with their children, Maddy and Bronson. The family lived on the Abrolhos Islands off the coast of Geraldton for 30 years operating a Crayfishing business until they decided to switch gears into the tourism business in 2003.
The Cox family lived on Little Rat Island four months each year during the Abrolhos Crayfishing season with both kids attending school on the island and spending their spare time fishing, snorkelling and exploring all the surrounding islands. Living and working from the Abrolhos has given the family a huge appreciation for the Islands and instilled a desire to share the intriguing history and pristine scenery with other keen explorers.

Accompanying us on all of our Abrolhos Island and Kimberley tours we have 4 state of the art tender vessels to help us access islands, beaches and rivers with ease. These tenders have been custom built for our needs and were designed specifically for the comfort and safety of our passengers. Our 6 metre tender vessels are extremely comfortable and are surveyed to carry up to 10 people.
The King Diver is another valuable extension of our fleet. Originally built as a cray fishing vessel, the King Diver has spent many hours navigating her way through the Abrolhos Island chain and has now been set up for diving, deep sea fishing and wildlife watching.
The vessel has seating for 12 people, a toilet, state of the art navigation and safety equipment and a marlin board for easy access in and out of the water whilst diving or snorkelling.

I have been lucky enough to travel with these guys in and around the Abrolhos islands and this year in and around the Kimberley's. After my first trip to the Abrolhos I knew i wanted to travel the Kimberly's with them. They are professional, friendly, super knowledgeable of all the area's, within this they still remain fun and relaxed. The minute you step onto this boat you feel like part of the family. I highly recommend these guys for the Abrolhos and the Kimberley's.. they dont just take you on a boat ride, they take you on a journey, and one you will never forget. Thanks Eco Crew you all do

For anyone looking for a fantastic live-a-board adventure then I recommend Eco Abrolhos extremely highly. We spent 5 days with them and saw dozens of sea lions, dozens of nudibranches, millions of sea birds, snorkeled the wreck of the Batavia, ate crayfish everyday. It was a perfect combination of history, nature, and wildlife. Jay and Bronson were incredibly helpful and along with the entire crew went out of their way to make the adventure as good as possible. Again, I couldn't recommend them highly enough and will be looking at going again.

For someone that has living in Perth for 45 years I thought I had seen most of WA.
The Abrolhos Islands has everything and should not be missed if you love the ocean, history and somewhere special. The crew of the Eco Abrolhos are brilliant in catering for their guests - they are knowledgeable, experienced and know every aspect of this amazing place. If u are considering a unique trip, this is it!

Wild and enchanting, primitive yet bountiful, colourful yet barren, these are my lasting impressions of my first trip to the Houtman Abrohlos Islands.
Accessible via a short flight form Geraldton, regular day trippers visit Turtle Bay with a chance to snorkel the corals and swim in the clear and calm waters and encounter some of the local Tamar Wallabies. The view from the air is breathtaking, looking down upon the ever appearing sea green pockets of pools surrounded by coral reef.

One of the best holidays that we have been on!
We set off on a 5 day wine and food cruise with the awesome team from Eco Abrolhos.
We were spoilt with sensational food from Chef Jonny which was top class with fresh fish, crayfish and squid daily.
Jay Cox's knowledge of the area can't be beat with the many years of experience in the area.
Every day had multiple activities on the programme so there was never a dull moment.
Snorkeling on the Batavia Wreck was a highlight for us, along with the wine tasting with the seals on Sandy Island.
Nothing was too much trouble for the team on board.

This place is magical!! The Abrolhos Islands are WA's best kept secret! After a super comfortable night time boat ride in our amazing 'hotel' room we woke up in this wonderful place.

We loved getting to know everyone on the boat, enjoying our freshly caught fish and crayfish that were deliciously prepared for our meals learning about our beautiful

Had an awesome experience onboard Eco Abrohlos!
Being a family run business who have spent many years working & living on the islands means the whole experience is very authentic, they are literally showing you their backyard.
There are heaps of activities available every day. We went to some amazing snorkeling/freediving spots and the coral & fish life are healthy & abundant everywhere throughout the islands.
All the facilities & equipment are absolute top notch.
The crew were all amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Having local historian and all round Abrohlos expert, Howard

I had awesome trips. I did numerous Abrolhos, Geraldton-Broome and Kimberley trips in 2018 and 2019. The young fella as skipper (Bronson I think his name was) was amazing, very knowledgeable, great fishing guide and had a great sense of humour. Highly recommend going on the trip just for that guy, absolute classic.

We were extremely grateful to have 4 days on board the Eco Abrolhos recently. The Abrolhos Islands is an amazing place to be and there is none better than owner Jay Cox to show you the many amazing places that make up this magnificent place. Jay has grown up on and around the Abrolhos, knows the fantastic history well and is a great storyteller. (He also makes a great seafood chowder!) The crew were fantastic and the food was sublime! There's so much to see and do including fishing, snorkeling, swimming, exploring the bird and sea lion colonies, to name a few! Many thanks to Jay, Ray, Paul and
