Dr. Alice Tsai is a periodontist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Dr. Tsai receives extensive training in these areas, including 3 additional years of training beyond dental school.
She is also an expert in the treatment of oral inflammation and is aware of the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease and in performing cosmetic periodontal procedures.Dr Fiona Chan completed her undergraduate training at the University of Queensland and worked in private general practice in Brisbane before relocating to Melbourne.

Periodontal disease, including gingivitis and periodontitis, are a group of diseases affecting the supporting structures of the teeth (gum and bone). They are serious inflammatory diseases that if left untreated can lead to tooth loss. All risk factors are not created equal. Diabetes and smoking are the biggest risk factors for periodontal disease, increasing the occurrence, severity, and speed of onset and progression.

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Could not thank Dr Fiona Chan enough. Had an emergency case which requires a prompt assessment of my conditions. Dr Fiona saw me immediately and also suggested I take the day off and fit me into her fully booked schedule for treatment (on the same day!). Thank you Dr Fiona. Highly recommend to those who are new patients and looking for a patient centric Periodontist who carefully explains conditions and treatment. Kev

Dr Fiona Chan and team was very professional and provided great customer service. You can tell she is passionate about her work and very empathetic to your circumstances. I rate highly Perio Care for their level of customer service and friendliness. My "go to place" for dental surgery - not that it's something that i wish for.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr Fiona Chan and it has honestly been the best dental experience I've had. I often find going to the dentist to be quite stressful but both Kathryn and Dr Chan have created such a relaxed environment I actually enjoy visiting this practice.
Dr Chan takes the time to thoroughly explain what is happening inside my mouth and answers any questions I may have before starting treatment - as well as providing all the aftercare information I could need.
Highly recommend visiting Dr Chan and Kathryn for any dental specialist needs.
