Founded in 1998, Sittella is one of Western Australia's newest, privately owned wineries. Owners Simon and Maaike Berns have the support of an enthusiastic team of professionals to create and produce high quality traditional wine styles, from both their own and contract vineyards throughout the Swan Valley and Margaret River Region and the Deep South.
The winery is named after a small Australian bird, the Sittella, which abounds in the nearby tree-lined Swan River. Nestled among the vines on a gently winding road near the upper reaches of the Swan River lies the Sittella winery & restaurant, a jewel of the historic Swan Valley. In this tranquil setting with valley and vineyard views from the verandah, visitors are invited to enjoy fine food and award winning wines.

Had a great time at sitella. We went along for my mum's birthday (Saturday 9th October) and originally got seated between the two toilets in the main room. The main room was also very noisy. Fortunately after asking for somewhere else we were given a table in the nest which I'm assuming might be the function room alongside the main venue. Lovely and quiet with a breeze and sunshine, beautiful setting overlooking the winery. Service was amazing, we had a slightly older blonde women whose name I can't recall (sorry!) But her service was impeccable- super polite, knowledgeable, good timing with requests

We came for a lunch having previously had a tasting at the cellar door of Sittella's very good wines.
Sat in the restaurant, over looking the vines, you can tell you are in WA's oldest wine region.
The food was very good, even if the lamb did not come as the described "medium rare". More in the medium side. And still tasty. The fish was good, and a little on the dry side.
As you would expect the wines were excellent.

We had our wedding at Sittella back in October 2020. It took about 10months in preparation, and I can’t thank you Stephanie enough for her cooperation. From the initial meeting till the end of the event, she is always ready to help and even advised us with the latest Covid regulations.
The wedding day itself was flawless and everyone enjoyed their time there. I really thank you Stephanie and all the Staff at Sittella for making our wedding as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

We had a work xmas party. The pork belly melts in your mouth. The scallops were like agar and rabbit pie was exotic. Service was gast for a big party. The weather was a perfect warm summers day at 27 degrees. There was plenty of wine. Parking was available out side and traffic was flowing well to get us there from Perth in 45 minutes.

Sittella Estate boasts one of the best restaurants in the Swan Valley, and with the addition of the Nest wine bar yet another reason to make the trip. With an outdoor area, under shady trees, as well as tables inside under cover, it has a marvellous view down across the lawns to a waterside gazebo which is one of the most sought after wedding venues around. Indeed on each occasion we have been to the Nest a wedding party has also been in attendance.

The view was gorgeous but I found the food to be very overrated. I had several people recommend them to me but I think it was because tyeir weddings are well done but not necessarily the restaurant.
While I didn't have any huge problems, I didn't enjoy my meal very much. I went for theur lunch deal which involved a 2 course meal with limited options (fair enough) and a glass of wine. My pasta was very generously served but flavourless and a bit overcooked. It didn't have a lot of meat but the pasta was full of cream so it was a struggle however nothing major.

One day of my favourite wineries to visit in the Swan Valley! Service is always excellent. Wines are some of the best in the Swan Valley and we always take our visitors here. Had lunch recently and it was beautiful. Week lunch set menu is great value at $40 for two courses and a glass of wine. Highly recommended - and the views over the vines is spectacular!

Food and service was excellent - until I found a piece of plastic in my dinner!! Not happy - told the waitress who apologized - then the manager came and offered us free coffee. Not impressed considering I could have swallowed other bits - feel they should have offered the meal for free - this just should not happen ever!!!!!

Sittella's is a favourite winery of mine. The wine is great, the food is great and the location is the best. My partner and his family are from The Swan Valley and we've heard stories from my father in law about him picking watermelons on the land where the Winery now stands, it makes it feel more familiar.
We went on Sunday for my mother in law's 60th birthday lunch. The place was heaving with people. We had 10 people for lunch including our 2 year old and the service was great (although I am an old family friend of Evelyn who runs the show so she may have given us a little extra

Yup, I love this place!
To be honest yes the service can be a little slow sometimes, but very friendly. But you know what, who cares if it is a bit slow because it is well worth the wait.
My wife and I have visited Sittella's on a number of occasions over the years and have never been disappointed. The combination of the relaxing setting overlooking the vineyard, the wine, and the food, awesome! When it comes to the food Sittella's is not one to substitute quality for quantity or vise versa. I am a man that loves good food and wine and have always left Sittella's with smile of ultimate

This was certainly not my first visit to Sittellas however it may indeed be the last. Sittela's complete lack of customer service has been something I have been familiar with for years. However I have always been willing to overlook it to some degree due to the wonderful vineyard views and the delicious food.
Today the service lived up to my low expectations - the waiters were doing everything they could to avoid eye contact or even worse pretended they could see us when you make eye contact.
The end result of this - predictably slow order taking and even slower meals arriving. The food
