The cattery is located in the inner suburbs of Adelaide, in a residential setting with the owners living on site. It has air-conditioning and heating, individual pens and a large communal outside play area that is completely enclosed and secure. There is plenty to stimulate cats, with toys, scratching poles, climbing steps, walkways, outside bedding and hammocks provided, all with protection from weather extremes.
Cat-A-Tonic Boarding offers secure tunnels through the garden, segregated areas and private balconies in some pens. We also feature a TV Room and an inclusive morning tea area for the cats to come and enjoy a pat and chat. Feel free to check out our Image Gallery, and if you would like more information please Contact Us.

Services
The cattery was established in 1990 as Berkana Boarding Cattery, changed ownership in 2001 and then subsequently its name, to Cat-A-Tonic Boarding Cattery, in 2002. Cat-A-Tonic is located in the western suburbs of Adelaide between the City and Glenelg, just off Anzac Highway.
It is close to the Adelaide airport, tram and other public transport, and is ideally situated and easy to locate for anyone wanting to board their cat for any reason - moving house, renovating, hospital stay, holiday makers etc. There are more than 5 vet practices within a few kilometres as well as the Emergency Animal Hospital for after hours medical needs.

Each cat is allocated its own space, relevant to age, agility, personality and medical needs. On arrival, the cat is introduced to its new "home" and monitored whilst it settles in. When your cat is ready, it will be released to go and play with the other cats in the outside areas and come and go as it pleases.
To protect your cat from exposure to germs, viruses, fleas and worms the following are required prior to boarding. Cats must have proof of a current (within the last 12 months) vaccination certificate. We need to sight the actual vaccination certificate with the date next due, not a receipt for consult.
You are welcome to come and inspect Cat-A-Tonic during the above opening times. We would appreciate a phone call to let us know you're coming if it's during school holidays and long weekends etc to ensure we have staff on hand to answer your questions as you view. An out of hours surcharge may apply to open the Cattery outside of the above standard hours.

Chris & Wayne and the girls are amazing with the cats in their care. My Mr Bojangles loves spending his holidays there interacting with the other cats. However if your cat isn't a social butterfly like mine, they can have their own private feline resort space separate to the others. Quality food & care provided.

Our cat had an awesome stay at cat-a-tonic. The price you pay is fairly average but the service is far superior to other catteries. Very personal, friendly staff, genuinely caring and well experienced with all sorts of cat demands and requirements. Cats spend most of the day socialising, cages are left open all day (unless a cat wants privacy, there's special rooms for that, too). There's a TV lounge where cats hang out watching goldfish on the telly (too cute) and a chicken coop in the middle, through which the cats can run/stalk in secure wire-mesh walkways. We're fans now, will book again.
