Reef Engineering is a Cairns-based company specialising in sheet metal fabrication providing high-quality aluminium, stainless-steel and sheet-metal products. We build and repair aluminium boats, ute trays, canopies and service bodies. Our factory manufactures a wide range of aluminium and stainless steel products for the marine industry, commercial and domestic use.

We use the latest technology to ensure high-quality finishes for one-off items or mass copies built to the same precise standards. Our range of trailers are designed to suit varied conditions including our rugged Woop Woop camper trailers. We custom-build trailers to suit your exact needs. From building flat bottom punts to V bottom boats - incorporating any extras as required including casting platforms, live bait tanks, duck boards, bow rails, self-draining decks, custom canopies - you name it, all built to endure the harsh north Queensland weather conditions.
Reef Engineering will build you a ute tray or canopy to suit your needs. We can custom fabricate with our extensive range of optional extras. We will work with you to give you the perfect finish and a ute tray or canopy you can show off to your mates, all at affordable pricing. All our custom work has been engineered and drawn using 3D computer generated models prior to fabrication.
We have a team of qualified trades persons & labourers with all the required site tickets & qualifications which enable our team to work in any workplace to the Australian Standards. With work place health & safety being so important at Reef Engineering we pride ourselves with adhering to our standard policies and procedures.

Great place, Scott sorted the pencilled drawing
It's been two months since the manufacture of my generator cover, could not be more pleased with the results, especially after such a scratchy drawing, fitted like a glove. I would recommend Reef Engineering to anyone. Good job

Had work done to my boat was not happy at all boat was left with metal shavings all through it job took 3 weeks longer and the welding quality was a joke to say the least so I will let these photos show there work use some one else for your welding need ppl.cheers

Heard good things about these guys, was disappointed in the quality of work. I supplied a double sided sign I needed mounted on a frame (so both sides were visible) and mounts on a rollbar. Once the work was completed I was charged more than quoted, sign had a crossbrace mounted so one side was useless, had damaged a expensive light with a grinder, covered vehicle with grinding sparks and when the sign is mounted it appears massively crooked (I can notice the difference from over 100 metres away). To rectify the issues I had to spend what they had charged me again to make the sign useful and of
