Catherine is a registered practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and has been providing caring treatments for over 10 years. She completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) and Certificate IV in Chinese Remedial Massage, combining this with an an advanced clinical internship which was undertaken at the Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medicine University in Nanning, China.
One of the most common questions we are asked is how does inserting needles in the skin help the body heal. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine theory is based on maintaining a healthy flow of Qi in the body. There are over 350 acupuncture points in the body that connect to different organs and energy channels called meridians.
At Mont Albert Acupuncture we can help couples optimise their health to prepare for pregnancy as well as supporting couples who have been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for some time. Fertility is an area where acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine can be used very successfully to restore the natural balance of the body.
