Leonie as a Co-Owner and Manager has been a part of the travel industry since she began her working career. Within the last 24 years Leonie has become a readily recognisable face of travel in the Shoalhaven. Julie as Co-Owner and Manager has spent considerable time in the travel industry, specialising in face to face sales and customer relations.
In this time, Julie has developed a profound knowledge of destinations across the globe. Her favourite destinations include Africa and Russia and she specialises in Cruising and Coach Touring. Daniel has travelled extensively to the Middle East and Asia, and comes to us with a mixed industry background having worked in both retail and wholesale travel as well as corporate and leisure work.

Formed by the duo that have made My Travel Expert (formerly Travelscene Nowra) an award-winning business, Leonie Clay and Julie Preston launched Shoalhaven Solo Sisters as an entirely new product line with one aim in mind - travel for independent and single travellers.
In this day and age while travel is easy, the cost of travelling as a single traveller can be rather prohibitive as you often end up paying 30% to 100% extra on your land or cruise costs then what a person does on an individual basis who is travelling with someone.

When most Australian's consider travel they think about the chateaus of Canada, the vast plains and wildlife of Africa, the heritage sites of the Middle East, the beaches of Bali, the culture of Europe, in general destinations that require some time to get out to visit well. The truth is you can get your Wildlife, Culture, Beaches, Heritage and Unique Accommodation so much closer to home - without leaving Australia, without leaving the state!
Let's be honest - we love to travel - and it doesn't always take a major event or reason for us to drop everything and head off for some exotic destination. The thing is though that while we can get out and go anywhere and do almost anything at almost any time, sometimes what really helps make a trip truly memorable is the incredible company you keep whilst travelling and the friendships formed on tour with your fellow adventurers!

Late this evening, join your Local Guide and travelling companions and get your first glimpse of one of nature's most magnificent shows-the colourful celestial arcs and waves of the aurora borealis (Northern Lights).
Today is an arrival day into Almaty, starting with meet and greet on arrival at Almaty airport and transfer to the hotel based on a group arrival in OZ577 from Seoul which is due to arrive at 22:05. If you are arriving at a separate time please consult with us for individual transfer costs. On arrival at the hotel we will check in, get a briefing on what to expect for the next day and retire for the night.

The crew at My Travel Expert are exactly that, Experts in what they do. Organised a wounderful NT and North West WA holiday for us and everything perfect. Not the first holiday we have booked with them and won't be the last. Had problems with a hire car company and they had the issue resolved in no time at all. Thanks Leonie and team, You're the best

Julie, Leonie and the team at My Travel Expert have always provided an exceptional service in making my travel dreams come true. Everything goes smoothly on trips booked through them and they have helped me see some amazing places. In the difficult times we are facing at the moment Julie has gone over and above to provide the best outcome for cancelled travel plans. Wanted to book a cruise found where we wanted to go online read all the reviews.
Next it was off to see Daniel from My Travel Expert in Nowra (who we had used the year before for another family trip) and we spoke to him told him where we wanted to go and BINGO within an hour he had it all sorted for all 17 of us.
Daniel kept us up to date with all the family (not all 17 of us where from the Shoalhaven Area) doing their booking forms and other information via e-mail.
More than happy to use Daniel or the Ladies from My Travel Expert again. I highly recommend them for all your travel needs.

Best travel agent ever !!
Yes I used to be a travel agent myself and am more than capable to book flights, hotels, cruises and whatever else myself online. However I chose to use the experts to do this for me! This way I know it's all perfect and I got the best deals. Can only highly recommend to use this lovely ladies to take care of all your travel needs
