George Weston & Sons was established in 1910 from humble beginnings as metal merchant and is now one of the largest Australian importers of non-ferrous metals with a national distribution network, that caters for the smallest of shipments to the largest of shipments Australia wide. We strive to surpass our customers delivery expectations.
Cast iron is a group of iron-carbon alloys, typically with a carbon content greater than 2%.Carbon and silicon are the main alloy components of cast iron. Cast irons usefulness derives from its relatively low melting temperature. Used since the 5th century BC, Cast Iron is found in applications such as oil and air pressure equipment, machine tools and general industrial machinery.
Ordering in advance will give you the most efficient experience (due to the nature of our warehouse operations). Please contact us through this website or by email or phone and our customer service team will be pleased to process your quote request or your order. Most days, orders placed by 11am can be fulfilled by 3:30pm the same day (and ready for pick up or despatch).
Although we are a wholesaler, GWS is proud to maintain our tradition of offering service to 'walk in' customers (who have not placed an order in advance). Subject to operational requirements on the day, we will do our best to fulfil simple orders within 1 hour of your arrival. If you have an urgent need outside these times, we may be able to stop other work and allocate staff to open the shop for you.

Having delt with George Weston and Sons for over 55 years,I have the utmost pleasure in saying that the level of service rendered by this company and its staff has never changed. They are the most helpful, efficient and obliging people I have ever delt with and I can only surmise that it is staff training by the owners that is responsible.
What a pity more businesses did not copy their standard of service.
