The 21st century demands a different approach to health and healing. More and more people are becoming disenchanted with the main stream medical model and are seeking alternative solutions to get to the underlying cause of their health complaints. As a culture we are becoming increasingly aware that by looking at our health as the sum of parts or in isolation, is not achieving the results we desire.

Instead we are yearning to be viewed as an integrated whole, in which all components of mind, body and spirit interact together functionally to create health and vitality. Symptoms are represented as the leaves; they are above ground and are what we can see. More often than not these are the primary health concerns presented in clinic.

My name is Kristy Allan and I am a holistic Kinesiologist and Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist. I am passionate about cultivating wellness in body, mind and spirit. I have always had a keen interest in the healing arts and have naturally been inclined to natural therapies. I believe the best way to achieve optimum health is through finding a dynamic balance in body, mind and spirit.
The art and science of Kinesiology uses biofeedback in the form of muscle monitoring to ascertain stress in the physical and energetic structures of the body. The same process is used to identify techniques that will restore the body back to its original balance.

The beauty of kinesiology lies directly in its ability to access the subconscious mind of the patient, allowing an opportunity for the body to speak about what is going below the level of conscious awareness. As an integrated approach to healing, kinesiology treats the person as a whole rather than a sum of the parts.
Shamanic sound, light and bodywork therapy is a therapy combining sound, light and bodywork to bring the mind, body and spirit into greater balance and equilibrium. Sound, vibration and frequency all have a profound impact on us, in fact harmonics and resonance govern our very existence, forming the building blocks of our reality.
The term stress is used for the symptoms of distress that occur when an excessive load or an intense environment overwhelms the adaptive resources of a person and their reaction be it physical, emotional, spiritual, biochemical or behavioural, creating symptoms and damaging health. Stress can come from any situation, experience, or thought and can make us feel frustrated, irritable, angry or anxious.
Wood is the energy of spring. After the quiet and stillness of winter, nature bursts forth with hope and optimism to create the new growth of the season. In us, wood creates the gall bladder and liver meridians. These meridians are the parts of us that move forward in life, that envision, plan and make decisions regarding our capabilities and our life's direction.
