While it looked great from the outside, the kitchen was just filthy. Food in the sink, cheese on the oven handle, elements, and the oven door, and the dishwasher looked like someone had just emptied their dinner inside. We couldn't trust if the crockery, glasses, or cutlery were clean - just disgusting. Apparently the owner had just inspected it too.

**AVOID**
Positives:
- Novel accommodation (wore off quickly)
- Picturesque grounds
Negatives:
- Incredibly tired accommodation (examples: damaged furniture, dirt and grime throughout, broken DVD player)
- Unexpectedly cramped for a family of four
- In extremely close proximity to a train line (all night goods trains woke everyone both nights)
- Leaking roof
- Cleanliness (a used soap with hair in the bathroom on check-in)
- Very limited amenities (no shower gel, shampoo etc)
- Property management company provided an incredibly sub-par response to our complaint (also taking eight days

Pretty cool place, but be aware that there are several cottages on the property, some pretty close to each other so you'll likely see some other people. The miniature horses and alpacas are pretty entertaining. Biggest problem is it's quite close to the train line, and they can be VERY noisy at all hours of day and night

Absolutely gorgeous property. We haven't stayed overnight but visited the place in preparations for our wedding next year. Marion, the manager, was very helpful and we are pretty sure this is going to he THE place! The cottages and the train sleeps plenty for any kind of celebration. You can also rent one cottage at a time instead of the full property, and it will give you more than enough space and privacy from other guests. Very versatile with a raw and rustic beauty whilst being modernly accommodated. Very impressed!!!

This place is so beautiful and a great escape from busy life. The cottages are fantastic and you feel like your in another world. The property is lovely to walk around and you'll fall in love with all the animals. Also great to take your own pets. Only problem is the prices have increased dramatically over the last few years. We used to go here every year for our anniversary but it's now just too expensive, especially as you have to book for a minimum 2 nights over the weekend.
