If you want to add hydronic heating to an existing home, there are extra factors to consider. Options include using radiator panels, and adding another level above your existing floor. We'll be happy to advise you on how hydronic heating can work in your home. Hydronic heating uses gentle radiant heat, which gives you true thermal comfort by warming all of the objects the room.
SmartHeat Pty Ltd is an innovative Australian company utilising low energy technology for heating and cooling solutions. SmartHeat specialises in: In slab heating and cooling - fan coil units - air handling units - mechanical plumbing - thermal storage - heat exchange - heat recovery systems - heat pump technology - heat recovery ventilators - pool and spa heating.
There are two very important things to understand about hydronic heating. It is a very efficient way to distribute heat as water can carry a lot more heat than air. It produces the most comfortable kind of heat- a gentle, radiant heat, that provides true thermal comfort. These two factors greatly contribute to your hydronic heating system as it delivers a host of benefits compared to other heating systems.
The Question is, "Why does hydronic heating use water?" Because water can transfer a lot more heat than air, and has none of the downsides of blowing hot air through your home. The heat source. In this case, it's a Bosch gas boiler. You can actually choose from a gas boiler, electric, a heat pump, a biomass (solid fuel or pellet) heater, or a choice of solar sources.

Smartheat has supported the Peter 'Wally' Bamford memorial concert for a few years now with various raffle prizes including a Stiebel Eltron radiant wall heater for the last concert. Their generosity has helped us raise over $7500 at last years concert, which has gone towards research by the Centenary Institute at RPA in Sydney.
I've also used Smartheat to install in slab heating to my new house and couldn't be happier. Their communication has been excellent throughout the installation and afterwards with assistance on getting everything set just right.
I'd recommend Smartheat for any of your

SmartHeat is smart! Smart for environmentally advanced solutions for heating and solar hot water systems. We used them for our under-floor heating and heat pump systems for both domestic hot water and heating the floor system, all connected to our solar hot water system, as well. They are courteous, efficient and effective, with the best staff in the business. Best of all, they're prompt to attend to any maintenance issues, meaning that you can rely on them to pay attention to your needs. We can't recommend SmartHeat strongly enough!!!

Highly recommended. We have updated our ancient in slab hydronic system with a new heat pump. It is running well, every part of our house is warm and we are no longer hostage to gas price increases. We came on Rick and the Canberra team through a referral. They were the only team who could achieve what we asked for. If this seems like a rave review, well it is. There were obstacles to overcome. They doggedly persisted to get the system installed and perfected. A+ for attention to detail and knowledge.
