Sydney Jazz Collective was founded to provide top quality live music to enhance the overall experience of any function, venue, festival, wedding or corporate event. We employ musical entertainment as a proven way of adding emotional richness to any situation - by delivering a fantastic sounding band that matches client preferences as closely as possible.
Can jazz musicians play pumping music (later in the night) that will fill the dance floor every time? If you want to party - we guarantee a full dance floor every time with a Quintet or larger. Sydney Jazz Collective offers a wide variety of ensemble options to allow clients to hire the band in a size (Duo, Trio, Quartet, Quintet, 6-11 Piece Big Band) and style (Jazz, Funk, Pop, Swing, Soul) best suited to each event.

Planning a wedding can be a complex task, and for most people it's the first time they've put together a large event like this, so we've designed a booking process & live music product to make this easy for you.
The cost of each performance depends on a few different variables including: size of band, distance travelled, date, number of hours required on site. Please provide this information when you contact us and we will send you a quote with several options within 12 hours. A 30% deposit (invoiced on request) is required to secure your date in the band calendar.

Our company hired Sydney Jazz Collective for our Gala Dinner. They were highly professional and accommodating from my initial enquiry through to our actual event. The Jazz band was a perfect fit for our Great Gatsby theme and all staff thoroughly enjoyed the music. JUST WOW! The Sydney Jazz collective were by far the best investment we could have made on our special day. Matt was so easy to talk to and accommodated any questions and queries we had before booking. The whole process was simple and efficient. On the night, they arrived on time and played even better then I was expecting! The whole band was so well dressed and well equipped, the lead singer's voice was amazingly beautiful. Overall I would recommend this band to everyone wanting to make a lasting impression on their guests.

I booked the Sydney Jazz Collective for my Roaring 20’s 50th birthday party! The 5 piece were incredible, they liaised with me regularly, had no trouble playing music from the period, played the Charleston especially for us to learn to dance to it and generally ensured we all had a ball! They created the perfect atmosphere for the best birthday party ever! They even traveled down to Berry on the NSW South Coast...I cant praise the band, the music quality or the ease of doing business with this group enough!

We had Sydney Jazz Collective for our wedding reception recently and we are deeply satisfied with their professional and helpful manner. Matt was very responsive throughout the emailing process. The teams arrived at the venue and set up everything according to the schedule. We are impressed to see our father and our daughter sang with the band seamlessly eventhough they never practiced together before!! The guests including the kids filled up the dance floor and they stayed till late. The values of service delivered is way beyond the price we've paid. The Sydney Jazz Collective recently performed at our wedding reception and we were extremely satisfied with their professionalism and the versality & quality of their music. Instrumental jazz created the perfect ambience during canapés/dinner, through to an awesome rendition of our first dance song, followed by pumping party tunes later in the reception. Our venue even commented they were the best band they’d had perform in a long time and wouldn’t have any trouble recommending Sydney Jazz Collective to their prospective wedding couples. Amazing band! We had the 6 piece band with female vocalist for our wedding and they were FANTASTIC! I booked them after hearing them at a friend's wedding and dancing up a storm! They created an amazing atmosphere and then later in the evening we had a packed dance floor with literally all our guests. Great value for money for the 5.5 hours we had them for. Very professional, very easy to deal with, and very prompt communication including accepting some specific song requests we had which made it even better. Many guests commented on how great the band was! Would definitely recommend.

Sydney Jazz Collective were fantastic to deal with from the outset. We got the exact band we wanted for our wedding, with all the music we love and our guests had the best time.
