Over many years we have enjoyed all aspects of Pet ownership being involved in Dog Showing, Tracking, Obedience and Breeding. We have travelled extensively to learn about pet industry best practice and introduce this culture to ABBA Boarding Kennels and Cattery. Jane has managed ABBA Boarding Kennels and Cattery since 2005 and has over 20 years experience with Pet Care and Animal Behaviour and management.
When Housing developers approached us to buy the land at Tyers Lane Keysborough we had the decision to move the business to another location or close down. We are very proud of what we had achieved at ABBA Boarding Kennels and had a large number of very loyal customers and so decided to build this beautiful new facility at 59-61 Ordish Rd Dandenong South.

All suites are spacious and have a sliding doggie door giving the dogs access to an individual exercise area during the day where they can walk between the sleeping area and play area of the pen. The sliding doors are closed during the night giving the dogs an indoor secure sleeping area. All our dogs are fed Royal Canin dry food with a special mix of cooked chicken and vegetables.
Our doggy day care runs Mon-Fri from 7.30am - 5.30pm. No Saturday, Sundays 7.30am - 5.00pm Prices from $22 per day per dog. Your dogs stay can be enhanced with additional playtimes or group playtimes as below. We can also arrange dog pickup and delivery for daycare and playtimes, price on location, call our kennel for more info.

This is not the place to leave your pet... The accomodation is to say the least 'sad' and small...The play area is made up of artificial grass and some plastic toys, and it feels very industrial. We left our 3 years old beagle from the 24/12/2021 - 04/01/2022. When we picked her up she had lost 1 kilo weighting 11.3 and had a scar and blood on her left ear... This had been done at least a day or two before we picked her up, but they never told us anything. In fact on the day of picking her up we noticed it and asked them how could they have washed and cleaned her without seeing the massive scar

I was very anxious about leaving my kitty for the first time, but everyone at Abba was fantastic. I got an update mid stay and a Facebook picture. Peggy was perfectly happy when we picked her up and had no issues settling back in at home.

My dog Rosie, has stayed with ABBA twice now for extended stays. They are a friendly staff who take great care of your pet. They maintained her eating schedule (and monitored her weight) and she was socialised with other dogs of a similar size, ensuring her safety. She settled quickly upon returning home, indicating a comfortable experience for her. Highly recommended.

This was the first time experience for my dog, he never have stayed away from me for this long. I left my 1.5 years young Siberian husky for 5 days, and booked a play time for each day. I believe he spent most of his time in the cage. I have called them twice during the stay and requested pictures and all I have got was one picture. My dog is not himself since he is back home. He is not eating at all, his behaviour is different. I do not recommend any one who have young energetic dog, who needs plenty of play. It was not a good experience at all for my dog. for first timers,they should make the

We found the services offered by ABBA to be fantastic. They were happy to give us a tour of the facilities before we committed to leaving our dogs in their care. From the very first phone call inquiring about their services to when our dogs arrived back home we could not have asked for a more professional and caring service.

Our dog Morris loves staying with Abba when we go away, they look after the animals like they are their own. He is a young labrador and before we found Abba it was quite stressful as he was quite anxious going to kennels to board, its the total oppositewith Abba! Its a beautiful professional maintained facility and all the staff clearly love and care for the animals. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I hadn't done a orientation but had heard good reviews from friends about ABBA.
The staff were very helpful and informative.
Its comforting to know that my pup is in professionals hands and is being mentored through the resocialising process after being out of the game for 6 months.
I felt at ease the whole time she was there and felt comfortable she was in good hands and being well looked after and safe the whole duration of her dog daycare.
We will be back next week.

It’s not easy for anyone to leave their furry-best-friend in someone else’s hands, and I am one of those owners who gets especially worried that my little buddy will hold a grudge that I left them all alone for so long. However I can honestly say that with all the extras on offer at ABBA Boarding Kennels my dog was too busy having fun to be grumpy with me afterwards.
