Old Wesleydale Heritage Accommodation
Old WesleyDale Heritage Accommodation is a self contained stone holiday cottage located on a 1829 historic property in Central Northern Tasmania. Set within a landscape described as 'The Vision Splendid'. Old WesleyDale is the perfect base to visit Cradle Mountain, Liffey Falls, Devils Gullet, Alum Cliffs and the Karst National Park.

Located 45 mins from Launceston Airport and the Spirit of Tasmania Ferries at Devonport. Scott has enjoyed creating new and innovative shapes within our garden at Old WesleyDale from the classic topiary design and techniques to freeform naturalistic pruning inspired by a workshop in the UK with master craftsman Jake Hobson.
Services
An inviting, relaxing and comfortable self contained accommodation, part of Tasmanias unique built heritage. Our guests are invited to wander freely through this unique farm complex and soak up the atmosphere of days gone by.

You may also like to wander down the stone pathway that leads to the lake where bird life is plentiful and platypus may be sighted just on dusk or just relax in the gardens, taking in the most majestic views of the mountains of the Great Western Tiers.Old WesleyDale is centrally located amongst all the great tourist attractions of the north.
We have used the 'Arts and Crafts' approach to garden design to create a garden that is in harmony with the historic 1830's stone house and the surrounding unique outbuildings. The accommodation cottage sits within stone wall enclosures with borders of flowering perennials. This garden has evolved into a series of 'garden rooms' that lead from one area to another.

Surrounded by wonderful gardens and living history. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable. A walk through the winding gardens with the hidden paths was delightful. Reminded us very much of Vita Sackville West’s gardens of Sissinghurst in the UK.

We spent a wonderfull relaxed weekend at this heritage property. The accommodation is beautifully appointed and very comfortable with table settings immediately exterior to the room where you could take your… breakfast or barbecue your lunch. The hosts are extremely friendly and willing to engage you in stories of the house and garden’s history and restoration. Their knowledge of gardening is deep and informed by their passion and their extensive travel to appreciate gardens in the UK and Europe. Much has been written by those more expert than I about the garden. It is simply a delight

The Old Wesley Dale Heritage estate is steeped in early colonial history; the house, outbuildings and guest cottage retain the authenticity of their original construction, updated with modern conveniences and amenities.
The guest cottage is elegantly decorated, spacious and comfortably appointed. Breakfast is self catered in the cottage ' s kitchenette; a good variety of breakfast choices are provided.
Be sure to leave adequate time during your stay to wander the extensive English-style garden that highlights the owners and hosts Scott and Deb Wilson's sense of garden style and dedication to

This is a very interesting and very comfortable accommodation. It is a self contained large room which includes a simple kitchen and ensuite bathroom. When we arrived we found that there was eggs and cereal, milk etc. for breakfast included which was a surprise. Eggs of course from the hens scratching around the garden. The gardens are typical English country style was are interesting and the owners have spent a lot of time creating them and tending them so that they look great. If you are interested in gardens then you can spend some time looking around them, plus they have a large area where
