Services
We enjoy improving the presentation of writing from many different sources. We enjoy helping organisations to create effective documentation. From business plan writing, policies and procedures, and grant writing to annual reports, report writing, report editing and grant acquittal tools. For engineers, from the beginning of our study and then out in the field, we are taught to solve problems, be they big, small, difficult or blindingly obvious.
We provide technical writing support for anyone; everything from final document reviews to complete document creation, from checking your spreadsheets to creating spreadsheets from hand written notes. Presenting information in a variety of forms to make it accessible to people of differing language and cultural backgrounds.
Our people enjoy working through a set of policies and procedures, working out how best to present a grant application, creating eye-catching charts for a business plan and editing writing in general. Clare Idriss is a mechanical engineer with a background in water, sanitation and management.

A recovering procrastinator, Clare Idriss helps people deliver written work of which they feel proud. Session 1 topics include: working to your strengths; tips and tricks to deal with an overwhelming to do list; and beating procrastination. Not knowing how to use technology can be debilitating. We can help you help yourself through an interactive group-based, sharing environment focusing on your requested topics.
At Practical Editing, we believe that we have a social responsibility towards supporting the community through volunteer work. We know that many services wouldn't exist without the tireless efforts of all it's members, including its volunteers. We also believe that supporting community organisations helps us grow as individuals and as a business.
