Based in Norwood, Adelaide Meditation Studio specialises in Vedic Meditation. Vedic Meditation comes from the Vedas, the ancient body of knowledge from India. The Veda is the source of yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic medicine. The Vedic meditation method of "least effort" is described in Sanskrit as "nishkam karma yoga".

This method was designed to allow ordinary people to transcend their meditation practice in order for the mind to rest. In Vedic meditation, nothing is done other than allowing the mind to follow its preference into stillness. Effort means control and its use in meditation takes away from our most natural ability to rest.
Services
The course method is both accessible and is unforced; creating space and time for you to reconnect inwardly - a sanctuary within our increasingly busy lives. At completion, participants will be able to meditate independently using an effective Vedic method. This Vedic method has been shown to have the highest rates of ongoing practice of all meditation methods.
Vedic meditation method does not require the ability to concentrate, analyse or focus. It is a method for experiencing stillness and clarity, even while the mind is full of thoughts. The only pre-requisite for this method is that the person can follow simple instructions - appropriate for ages 10 years and up.
