Nose surgery, or primary rhinoplasty, is the initial surgical procedure performed on the nose, as opposed to any revision surgeries that may follow. Nose surgery is often referred to as a nose job. If you are unhappy with the appearance of your nose, suffer from breathing problems that can be cured by surgery or have injured your nose in an accident, you are a candidate for primary rhinoplasty.
Facial surgery can restore a more youthful and fresher appearance to a sagging and tired-looking face. People might consider having this surgery if they look in the mirror and feel that their appearance does not match their psychological impression of themselves or their age, that is, they look older than they feel.
The face and neck are usually the first places where you will begin to notice signs of ageing. Many cosmetic surgical procedures aim to refresh and rejuvenate the face and neck areas, erasing or diminishing these visible signs. Dr Marcells, an accomplished facial plastic surgeon, performs a number of these procedures, including facelifts, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), brow lifts, nose surgery (rhinoplasty) and revision rhinoplasty.

Blepharoplasty, or surgery of the eyelids, removes excess skin, fat and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It can make you look younger by getting rid of unsightly lines and droopy eyelids. You are a good candidate for blepharoplasty if you have puffiness, sagging or loose skin on your upper eyelids, drooping, excessive skin or fine wrinkles on your lower eyelids or bags underneath the eyes.

I had rhinoplasty with Dr Marcells several years ago. I have been left with obvious and lasting scars on both sides of my nose, particularly on the right (see photo). This was after a second attempt by Dr Marcells to try and correct the initial outcome of the surgery. Additionally, the appearance of the tip of my nose is more bulbous than pre-op. An extremely disappointing experience.

My daughter had surgery with Doctor Marcells who was friendly and professional from the very first appointment. He explained the whole procedure easily and helped us understand what was going to happen. The nurses and assistants were all super friendly and made things easy. Doctor Marcells’ rooms are conveniently located with plenty of on street metered parking. You can only park for half an hour though, so I usually park in Eastgate shopping centre which is a short walk.
