Having spent the first couple of decades travelling through all outback parts of Queensland, Northern Territory and the Torres Strait to areas without an optical service, it was time to settle down from the transient lifestyle to something a little more permanent. I was offered a position with a large optical chain to manage the group of 30 practices, that job lasted for almost 10 years.
Progressive lenses are line-free bifocals that have a seamless progression of added magnifying power for intermediate and near vision. The power of progressive lenses changes gradually on the lens surface, providing the correct lens power for seeing objects clearly at virtually any distance. Glaucoma is the name given to a group of eye diseases where vision is lost due to damage to the optic nerve. The loss of sight is usually gradual and a considerable amount of peripheral (side) vision may be lost before there is an awareness of any problem. A cataract is a clouding of the clear lens in the eye and is one of the leading causes of vision impairment.

This place I think they tryed to take advantage of a pensioner I was supposed to get my glasses in November 2020 I only got them yesterday because these bunch of useless people did not give proper information to the government for the free or $35 glasses scheme I told them when I first went in for my appointment I'd like the free glasses as im a pensioner when I came out of the test the staff advised I need multifocal glasses so ok she starts showing me my options I picked a pair out I liked she measured them up then told me there $290 from memory! I said what I thought they were free she goes

Think twice people. You are only told about the 8 week wait, AND the $25.00 fee on the govt pay plan ( free to pensioners supposedly ), AFTER you have the eye test, and they have at least made some money out of you. And, the range of frames available is total rubbish. I will be Back to Specsavers next time for only $39.00, with a great, large range of frames. Absolutely not impressed with this lot. It is a con.

My eye test at Morayfield Eyewear was the most positive ever. Geoff was thorough, explained everything well, didn't treat like I was stupid if I couldn't get what he was after, happy to repeat and run through again. He gave me very sound and positive advice. All the staff were very nice and helpful, didn't rush me into picking my new frames. My new glasses arrived on the day stated and the fitting took a few cheerful minutes. Well done, everyone, I will be back!

I always go to this store when I need new glasses. The staff are professional and courteous. I enjoy the professional approach of the optometrist, who is thorough without wasting time.
I had no problems with my new glasses, lenses, or frames.
They even posted them to my home address without any problems.

This optometrist saved the sight in my left eye! I contacted this optometrist after hours when I had an issue with my contact lenses that I'd had for ages (not from him, and not the fault of my regular optom - I had cared for the lenses poorly). He calmly talked me through the symptoms I was experiencing and then firmly told me to get it seen by an optometrist THAT morning ASAP as it was serious. I couldn't attend his practice as it was too far from my home, but a local Optometrist squeezed me in and a potentially blinding infection was cleared up in a few days. Without his good advice I'd have

I dont normally write reviews, but when looking up the address to refer a friend i saw that there was a negative review. I totally disagree with them and the times that i have been the staff are 100% professional, friendly and like to have a good chat. i would recommend them to anyone and if you have a problem i am sure they would be more than happy to make sure you are satisfied.
