Metro Engineering (NSW) Pty Ltd, has been established as a reputable cryogenic tank manufacturer for over 35 years. Founded in 1978 by Trevor Garlick, Metro Engineering ventured into cryogenic tanker industry soon after the company was formed, and has continually striven to grow and improve, to offer world class leading products in the field of cryogenic tanks, in both static and transportable configurations.

Metro Engineering has full design capability to both design and manufacture cryogenic road tankers to all the relevant Australian Standards. All designs are developed using Solidworks 3D solid modeling software with FEA capability. We also use volumetric weight distribution software to enable accurate axle reactions for each type of product and various fill levels.

Metro Engineering has invested in Keyhole Plasma Welding Technology, in order to maximise welding efficiency and guarantee unsurpassed quality. It is a single sided welding process that allows welding of up to 8mm thick material, in a square butt configuration. This process has been utilised by Metro Engineering for over 15 years and has resulted in trouble free welds in our tankers during this time.

Metro Engineering LNG road tankers offer maximum payload and extensive hold times, to place them at the forefront of LNG tanker manufacturing in Australia. They are fully Dangerous Goods Code compliant, ready for immediate use in Australia. The vessel, fittings, valves and attachments are all designed to ensure maximum longevity and trouble free operation throughout the life of the tanker.

Metro Enginering offers Tankers in a skid mount configuration, suitable for fitting to a cab/chassis truck. These vessels are complete with pipework, enclosed in a rear cabinet with all the necessary valves and instrumentation. Mini tankers are available for either Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Argon or Carbon Dioxide.
