Bali Hai Resort & Spa
Only a stroll away from the famous Cable Beach Broome, in Western Australia's Kimberley region. It is a long stretch of pure white sand, fringed by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Cable Beach is a big part of Broome's fascinating history, earning its name from the telegraph cable laid between Broome and Java in 1889.

Broome is in the Kimberley region, it's the southern gateway to the unique Kimberley. There is nowhere else in Australia like Broome. This 1890's pearling port is jam packed with fascinating history, multicultural heritage, Asian fusion cuisine, colourful characters and distinct Asian Colonial Architecture.

We went for early Christmas dinner in Bali Hai Resort and Spa restaurant. Was bit skeptical in the beginning as we can’t get the booking online. However went we ring the restaurant, we were offered with dinning slot from 5pm to 6:30pm. Without taking longer thought, we accepted that offer.
And it turned out that was a great call of the day. We got fish & chip and spaghetti for the kiddos, while for me and my wife we had: pork&scallops and Salmon (for entrees); green curry (seafood) and duck (mains); tiramisu (dessert). Big feast but worth it. Our favorites was the entree (pork and scallops)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bali Hai. Perfectly located close to Cable Beach, Divers Tavern and Cable Beach General Store and Cafe with gorgeous well kept gardens and comfortable rooms.
While the outdoor showers and toilets may take a little getting used to it is all part of the experience, and let's be honest, showering under the stars is something you should experience in your lifetime.
With friendly staff and a beautiful pool Bali Hai is definately a vacation location worth putting on your list.

Every bits of this resort worth for a 5 star review but the only reason I sm giving it a 3-star is the inappropriate, rude, racist behaviour of the booking manager (i assume she is the manager). I had to book it at the last minute, so I calked them at around 6.30pm ish the evening before my checkin date to book for the room. The lady who confirmed my booking with my bank card informed me that they might not be able to charge my card right then because the reception is closed, in that case they will charge the next day. I told that okay, Im coming tomorrow anyway so I will pay then. No issues. So

We went tonight purely for dinner which was a complete disaster! I had the belly pork and scallops which were like slop my husband had the crab which looked like and tasted like it had been thrown up I then ordered the thia chicken curry which when it arrived I pointed out that the chicken wasn’t cooked as it was still red in the middle which the waitress shrug her shoulders and replied “ it’s cooked !” Needless to say I didn’t eat it then the waiter whom Took our order asked how the meal was and my husband replied his lamb was “ok” but the chicken was totally under cooked hence it

We don't go out to dinner very often but we had heard about this place via word of mouth. We went on Sunday which was roast night. I can only say that chef needs to reconnect with a love of cooking because if the roast is up front then it should be excellent, unfortunately this was not. Staff friendly, nice surrounding but over priced for what it is.

Terrible. Warm wine, bad crab, overcooked duck, chunky chips which were not, one of the worst overpriced meals I’ve ever had. Poor service at best but just rubbish all round. The pub next door was better for a third of the price.

Very nicely set out. Absolutely loved the shower attached to our room, so typical of what you would find in Indonesia. Highly recommend you book a year in advance as Broome can swell from around 7000 to 70,000 during the dry season.

This is a review for the Bali Hai Cafe, the resort itself is fine.

We stayed at the resort for a week and went to the restaurant for 3 of our meals. The front of house waitstaff were consistently rude and unhelpful which unfortunately detracted from the overall experience. The food was otherwise fine - but not spectacular enough to justify the poor service.

For a restaurant within a resort I am surprised that this is acceptable.

If we come back to Broome we will go elsewhere.

Bali Hai is beautiful. This review is for the resort (we didn't make it to the day spa!) and the restaurant.

The pool is sheltered from the breeze and has a perfect mix of sunny and shady lounges. The grounds are gorgeous, with frangipani and palms. We had a deluxe suite with kitchen and it had everything we needed. And the outdoor shower is pure luxury. You can walk to the beach on a short path through the dunes (full of wildlife!), and ten minutes later you'll see the long white expanse of Cable Beach. Bali Hai is quiet - away from the sunset crowds at the beach, but close enough to

This review is for their cafe in the resort. We live about 500m away and recently went for dinner, without reservations, on Fathers day. The M'd could not seat us (2) right away and showed us to the bar side seats while a table came up. A reasonable selection of wines (for Broome) and enough types of beers for anyone. About 6 house cocktails. Quickly served a drink and we were seated about 10 mins later.

About 6 entrees ($20-$30), 8 seasonal mains ($34-$40), and another 6 dessert selections ($10-$18) to choose from. My wife's arm was in a sling from recent shoulder surgery so we just
