Accommodation Report

All the caravan sites at the Port Tourist Park have power, drinking water and sullage hose connections for caravanners. We also have a combination of long bays and standard size bays to suit all types of vehicles from vans to buses. Our camp sites are unpowered, but our camping guests have access to hot showers, toilets and laundry facilities on site.

Port Hedland has a number of beaches that are perfect for a quiet walk, for the kids to play on the sandstone formations, a bit of bird watching or even turtle viewing in season. Hop onto a guided tour of BHP Billiton Iron Ore's Nelson Point facility to watch the bucket wheel reclaimers and ship loaders that dominate Port Hedland's horizon and gain an understanding of how the mining industry works.

During the winter months in Port Hedland you will be able to find a multitude of native wildflowers. You could make an adventure of wildflower viewing by following the Pilbara Wildflowers Trail by road through the region. July to September is the time to experience this beautiful natural occurrence unique to the Pilbara.

I love this place. It's been made available for travellers by the mining companies & while it's a bit rough around the edges, it offers all the amenities necessary, including wonderful meals.

A bit average - could have been OK once, but overwhelmed by mining workers accommodation. It was comparatively cheap and clean, but no care taken in the place

Geared for mine workers. Has a large hotel style accommodation block, a lot of mobile demountables in poor condition and a small very basic caravan park area. Amenities are okay and it conveniently located next to highway. Useful for a one night stay while passing through.

I ran maintenance as it was being renovated. Beautiful place to relax. Public next door the walkabout hotel. Beach, fishing local shops not far. Bloody hot during day and sweaty as hell at night. Love it.

This place is not going to suit some campers, but it did for us!! The staff were great. The Friday night seafood all you can eat, Unbelievable!!! (Sorry no shots of the park)

Stayed on the caravan park for $40 a night. They have an all you can eat buffet from 1600 till 2000 for an amazing $20. They also do an all you can eat breakfast for $20 from 0400 till 0800.

A bit shabby around the edges but wd enjoyed our 2 night stay. We also enjoyed our $20 all you can eat buffet dinners at Landing Resort across from this small van park. We were on site 15 which was great with cement slab..site 16 good also..free washing and drying machines

Nice friendly staff, wide driveway access, clean and functional amenities. The food was great in the park restaurant.
