La Luna Bistro is a Melbourne institution. Chef Adrian Richardson's focus on fresh, well-handled food and relaxed, informed service has stood for twenty years. We love what we do and we think a classic bistro has an important place in a dining community. Our pasta is home made, our herbs come from the garden and our fish and seafood is brought to us daily from our suppliers.
We have an in-house butcher that does the dry ageing of our meats in a dedicated cool room, as well as creating all of our smallgoods. We always have a unique array of cuts and cured produce on offer. Our wine list has been curated to be a list of familiar favourites and classics from their respective regions.

Services
La Luna Bistro offers professional catering for events, small or large, in your home or alternate venue. Menus are designed to suit individual needs. Simple hampers and small dinners can be pick up or for larger functions we can come to your home or venue. La Luna Bistro's two beautiful function rooms, upstairs over looking Lee & Rathdowne St's can be used for special celebrations, corporate dinners or meetings.

I’ve never eaten at La Luna Bistro but I showed up for a shift that I got through Supp the 11/12/21.
I planed my day tors it and to my surprise when I showed up they told me the shift was canceled. Had no notifications in the app or a simple text from the person I was in touch with letting me know in advance. A bit more consideration would have been nice.

There's nothing wrong with this restaurant, just nowhere near as good as many others. The setting is more cafe than fine bistro, the service inoffensive, and the food middle of the road. I have had many far superior steaks elsewhere, including at home. The wine I drank was poor, the mocktails terrible (basically packet apple juice with some soda). But again, nothing terribly wrong, I just wouldn't go back when there are so many other excellent options.

Amazing service and food. top night out. From the start to the finish we were welcomed and felt so comfortable. You know how sometimes you go to a restaurant and it can feel like your at your friends mums place for the first time. Well this place doesn't. Such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. I was also lucky enough to meet the man himself Adrian Richardson and we is a top guy. Tonight has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. Thank you so much

I held my 30th birthday here in one of their beautiful events rooms. I could not recommend it more. They were so lovely the whole process, offered to decorate etc. they were so accomodating with me bringing my own cake.
The food and wine were amazing it was the perfect night and I thank them greatly.

If you love steaks then this is the place for you. Excellent cuts available and cooked to perfection. However, could seriously damage the hip pocket. But worth it.
The garlic prawns are delicious. And you cannot pass up on dessert. Generous serve of tiramisu ends the meal on a high.
