After Hours Emergency care is provided by AREC- Animal Emergency and Referral Centre at 4 Lang Road, Broadmeadow. However, if you are feeling sick, or have been sick, please make arrangements for another person to bring your pet in for any appointments. Please call ahead if you are unsure. Hospitalisation - Our hospital is purpose-built, with air-conditioned isolation and intensive care wards. All wards have soft bedding and heating pads to ensure your pet's stay is as comfortable as possible.
Whether your going on holidays, need emergency boarding or just someone to mind your beloved pet for just the day or even a couple of hours we are here to help. The boarding facility is located right here at the hospital with all our nurses attending to your pets, you can have peace of mind knowing that Veterinary Care is available at all times.

Love the way my dog gets so excited going there. Have saved my dogs life many years ago. I always get texts to give me reminders for vaccinations or check ups. I have my dog groomed there and board both my dog and cat whilst we're away. I buy all my cat & dog food there and they love it. Might cost a bit more but it's good for them both and they my babies so they should have what they like. Highly recommended.

I wasn't aware an appointment was needed and as my dog was unwell I drove straight to the Hospital as my, to be turned away as I hadn't made an appointment and none were available. I thought it was a Hospital I would have been prepared to wait to be at the end of the day but wasn't offered any solution but to try another Vet.....

Our kitten had metal plates out in his leg after fracturing it, a cast was put on. All casts should be checked every 3 day’s which we did not know. The paper wrote “come back for a check up in 7 day’s” on the 4th day we noticed our kittens paw which was sticking out at the end of the cast that it was blue and leaking blood.
Our kittens leg was swollen inside the case resulting in loss of circulation. Our kitten had to have his leg amputation. All because they wrote the wrong check up day. After going to another vet they looked at the X-ray of our kittens fractured leg before it was amputated
