Selectability
Are you a regional Queenslander with concerns about your mental health or that of someone you care about? At selectability our purpose is to improve the mental wellbeing of regional Queenslanders and contribute to suicide prevention. We specialise in providing mental health services and support through the provision of NDIS services and delivery of government-funded mental wellbeing initiatives and programs.

We have supported hundreds of people to achieve their goals and get the most out of their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) packages. Darren began suffering seizures when he was four years old before being diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 10. Since receiving support from selectability he says he's getting back out into the community and enjoying his sports, table tennis and ten pin bowling.
Services
We are proud to be one of regional Queensland's largest and leading providers of mental health services across a wide footprint, supporting individuals and communities in northern, central and western Queensland. As an NDIS service provider, our team has helped hundreds of people access and implement their NDIS plans.
Your donation will help us to continue to deliver services and support to those who need it most throughout our wide footprint which stretches from our head office in Townsville, north to Cairns, south to Rockhampton and west to Mount Isa and east to Palm Island.

The partnership draws on our commitment to improving the mental wellbeing of regional Queenslanders through our Townsville Bike Shed and Team Jefferson's goal of riding from Cottesloe Beach (WA) to the steps of the Sydney Opera House (NSW) (in less than six days, ten hours and 58 minutes) to raise awareness for mental health.Money raised through this initiative will help us continue our important work through the Townsville Bike Shed.
Her business management expertise has been recognised with the QLD Business Review Women in Business Award and the Queensland Telstra Business Women's Award. Listen to Cairns GM Ingrid Steed recent chat to 4CA's John Mackenzie about what is happening across the region this month. With the clinical services function based in our Cairns office, we also provide a range of NDIS services and support. As the NDIS rollout continues across the region, our focus is on providing individuals with the support they need to live their best life.
Our GM Regions Ryan Wiggins recently had a chat to 4KZ's Glenn Johns about what is happening across the Ingham region this month - you can listen here. As selectability's presence in Ingham continues to grow we are looking for new and innovative ways to service this vibrant community.

We have been delivering services across the region for some time without a physical location however in April we moved into our Mental Health Hub on Lannercost St so that we can better respond to the mental wellbeing needs of those across the region.Jason loves working for selectability as it gives him the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of regional Queenslanders.

Please don’t let these people into your family’s lives. Despite the calls and emails that I have sent asking for support that is at a regular time, and pleading for consistency in workers so we aren’t dealing with complete strangers every week and someone can start to help us, I have only experienced that selectability workers do not care, and that team leaders will not help. They charge at the highest possible rate ($56.81 per hour - this was $48.14 just in June 19) and do not even bother to call you when they don’t have a worker coming when you expect them. I have spoken to clients and

Shift changes without notification, cancelled shifts without notification, shifts cut in half without notification, I tried to leave a complaint which resulted in a promise of a call back from management by the end of the week, it's been 3 weeks since that date
