Albert Valley Turf started operations in 1990 as a dedicated landscaping operation and diversified into turf supply as the business grew. The turf farm is located beside the Albert River in South-East Queensland, with growing conditions that allow us to grow all our varieties of turf all year round.
Oz Tuff is a high quality couch with a dark emerald green colour. It has a fine leaf structure and lacks upright growth, instead growing laterally across the ground significantly reducing the mowing frequency unlike most common couch varieties. Oz Tuff has superior turf strength and resistance to surface damage in high traffic situations and has been voted #1 for wear tolerance in a 4 year study.
Albert Valley Turf grows Empire Zoysia at our farm at Tamborine. Empire Zoysia has become one of the most popular lawn turf varieties Australia wide for excellent properties and its highly desirable look. Zoysia grows quickly across the ground for better wear tolerance but grows slowly vertically limiting the amount of mowing required immensely.
Wintergreen Couch is the most popular choice among families when choosing a new lawn. Wintergreen Couch is best suited for full sun areas, it has a smooth, soft surface leaf and is extremely hard wearing. It is highly resistant to drought conditions and is not rough to the touch like some other turf varieties of couch grass.

Albert Valley Turf - where do I even start they have gone above and beyond for us. We have had two amounts installed totaling 2000sqm and both teams of installers were amazing, “ Hard workers” doesn’t even do them justice, as my children said “they were faster than the flash Mum”. We went with Empire zoysia as we had previously had this grass and… absolutely rate it 10/10 we are on acreage and it really does look spectacular. Mel, Barry and the rest of the team are so lovely, always accommodating and are just genuinely wonderful people. Nothing was a problem

I was put in contact with Albert Valley Turf through a local landscape supplies centre. I found the team at Albert Valley Turf to be extremely helpful from the very first contact with advice on choice of turf with the Empire Zoysia being just what I was looking for, easy no fuss pickup at the farm with the turf in great condition and was easily laid and is bedding down nicely. From the first email and phone call, the service has been exceptional. When ordering the turf, Mel in the office was helpful and friendly and was happy to answer my questions. They were friendly, informative and professional, from my initial call to enquire about suitable turf options through to their back up phone call to check to see how my turf was settling in.
