Statewide Conveyancing was formed in 1997 in response to a need for a specialist conveyancing firm. At Statewide Conveyancing, we specialise in residential conveyancing. Our team of solicitors and conveyancing paralegals are highly experienced and have undergone rigorous training before working directly with clients.
Roland is a Director of Statewide Conveyancing and is responsible for the overall management of the practice throughout Queensland. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws (UQ). He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1993 and is also admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
Statewide Conveyancing handle the preparation, execution, verification and lodgement of numerous legal documents linked to the purchase of your new property. We take the time to explain in everyday language the meaning and importance of each of the conveyancing tasks, to help you understand exactly what's involved and what documentation you are signing.
If you are a foreign person, that is any person who is not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident in Australia, you will require approval from the Australian Government to purchase property in Australia. The Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) is the government body that regulates the purchase of Australian property by foreign persons, to which all applications must be submitted.
Stamp duty or transfer duty is a tax imposed on written documents that record or affects certain types of financial or legal transactions. The State Government charges buyers stamp duty when you purchase property - the percentage scale will vary according to the amount of the sale price and whether or not you intend to live in the property or rent it out to tenants as an investment.
