We have a piano for use for classical ballet examinations, and the professional audio equipment with pitch and tempo control. Our 2 purpose built studios have fixed barres and mirrors and a brand new fully sprung non-slip Tarkett floor. We have air-conditioning and overhead fans, together with 3 large viewing windows for parents, as well as a fully stocked dance-wear shop on site.

Services
The girls can progress to this level when they no longer need their parents in the room with them. This program is also a 30 minute lesson, often getting more concentration from the girls as they're a bit older (3-4 yrs). We work hard on the progression of skipping, jumping, galloping, and musicality.
Tap dancing is a great way to improve students musicality. By its percussive nature, it works on their rhythm and helps them become more musically aware. We chose not to go through exam system for tap, as we find it a bit dated. We prefer to teach the street tap style with the correct use of technique, as it is a lot of fun for the students.
Our preferred training method for both dancers and teachers is the world renowned Cecchetti method. All the teachers are qualified members of Cecchetti Australia and Cecchetti International. Students can be trained from the age of 5 and continue their training up to Advanced level, including teacher training.
In addition to the early payment discount, these family discounts are applied for multiple classes. Payment of fees can be made by: Cash, EFTPOS, Visa/Mastercard or Internet Deposit. It is expected that all lessons will be paid by the start of each term where a generous 10% discount applies for accounts paid by the end of the first week of term, otherwise the full fee is charged.

My daughter has been attending ballet lessons over 2 years in Norwood Ballet Centre and she is always exited to go there each single time. The teachers are all professional, kind, caring and supportive. They are always smiling and nice to talk with and encouraging. My daughter loves them! This term she begins to try Jazz and her big brother also joined in. They had lots of fun. As their parent I could not be more satisfied with the centre. My 4 yo daughter can be shy at times but she really loves dancing and wanted to take classes. Miss Hannah and Miss Tara are both extremely patient people and wonderful teachers. They always take the time to help all of the children to feel comfortable and enjoy their lessons. They have created a nurturing, inclusive and fun environment. Through their gentle encouragement my daughter even got up on stage and participated in a performance which was something that she desperately wanted to do, she was really thrilled about it! We are very happy with Norwood Ballet.

My daughter has been dancing at NBC for nearly 8 years! She loves it there - a warm, inclusive environment that allows the dancers to grow at their own pace. Always welcoming and wishing the best for everyone. I can't speak enough about how good Tara, Lauren and Jackie are with the students and the parents.

My 3 year old has been coming to ballet lessons at Norwood Ballet Centre for just over a year now, and she absolutely adores it here! She is initially reserved and sensitive by nature, and the teachers have been nothing but empathetic, nurturing and supportive, gently building her confidence and bringing out the best in her. I have always had nothing but praise for the professionalism and enthusiasm that the teachers display and this shines through to the students. My daughter has been dancing at Norwood Ballet Centre for over 8 years. The teachers there are very kind, professional, and encouraging. They place students to proper level of classes to accommodate individual capability and keep up students' passion for dance. My daughter has tried and dropped a few things during the past years, but she still dances at Norwood Ballet Centre!

My three year old daughter has thrived in her endeavours into Ballet. In her Saturday morning class all participants receive exceptional support and guidance from their teachers. Most importantly to me as an 'over protective father' type, the wonderful teachers share their time equally across the group and cater to all levels of ability without bias. I have no hesitation in recommending this school to all wanting their child to learn Ballet.

My two daughters have been attending Norwood Ballet Centre since they were 3 and they absolutely love it. They get very excited about their ballet lessons every week and always ask to go. We love Norwood Ballet! The teachers are all absolute professionals who have nurtured both my daughters through their ballet experiences over many years. My eldest daughter has been a Norwood ballet student for over 11 years and I’ve been nothing but impressed with the tutelage she has received. Most of all I am grateful to Jackie, Tara and Lauren for the kindness and care they have shown both my girls. This amazing trio certainly go above and beyond in every aspect as far as we are concerned. We are huge fans!!!

My daughter has been attending Norwood Ballet Centre for the past 7 years; she attends multiple classes over the week. We are Indians by ethnicity. NBC has an exceptionally supportive and culturally competent environment. Tara and Lauren are excellent teachers and lovely human beings. My daughter adores them. Jacqui is outstanding as well. Everyone associated with customer service in NBC is very professional as well as supportive. We could not have chosen a better dance academy than NBC
