Ancient Approach offers a wide range of complimentary therapies designed to not only target specific ailments but to also treat your body as a whole. During your initial consultation we will take into account your own personal circumstances which can be causing your ill health or current health problems and may offer TCM advice to assist with your improvement.
Acupuncture involves inserting fine single-use sterilised needles into specific points on the body, or applying various other techniques to the acupuncture points to bring about healing. Scientific trials around the world have found that acupuncture is a safe and useful treatment for many different disorders.
Cupping is a technique used by TCM practitioners involving special suction cups that help to relieve muscle tension and promote local qi and blood flow. It works similarly to a deep tissue massage without the pain. The cups generally feel tight but not painful and cupping marks usually dissipate within a few days.
Moxibustion involves the burning of a herb called Mugwort. The moxa comes in various forms but is usually burnt to provide a warming treatment to the body which expels cold and increases blood and qi flow. The bitter & acrid aspects of Mugwort help to break stagnation, clear phlegm, and rectify the qi and blood.

Shane saved our vacation. I sprained my foot, ankle and knee on Rottnest Island on the 3rd day of a 2 week vacation in WA. I could only walk without severe pain by not bending my knee or ankle. After 1 treatment by Shane I was able to walk and had no further trouble with the knee or ankle for the duration of the vacation. Lynn Logen, from USA.
