Worendo Bed & Breakfast Cottages
We acknowledge and pay respect to the land and the traditional families of the Yugambeh region of South East Queensland, including the Kombumerri, Mununjali, Wangerriburra and others, and their Elders past present and emerging. We are a family run business with a strong attention to detail. All our cottages are extremely well appointed and have all the comforts you would expect for a relaxing and enjoyable break.

You will get a great sleep in a comfortable bed and awake in a stunning natural setting. All cottages are fully heated and air conditioned - perfect for year round comfort! Every cottage features an amazing outlook over Lost World Valley and the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park. We offer a fantastic family farm stay break near Brisbane and the Gold Coast here in Queensland, Australia.
Services
This is the Overell Family - Nathan, Jodie, Patrick, Aidan and Teddy. They are proud to welcome you to Worendo and have worked very hard to include that personal touch to make you feel looked after in the best possible way during your stay. Nathan grew up in The Lost World Valley and has been in tourism since 2005 before moving "home" in 2013 to take on the Worendo business.
At Worendo we aim to ensure everyone's stay is as enjoyable as possible. We are committed to providing suitable access for all our guests, whatever their individual needs. For this reason we have built our Barcoo Cottage with People with Disability in mind. Parking: The Car Park at Barcoo Cottage is concrete, level and is 7metres x 5.8metres.
Telstra is the only phone network with full coverage and also a good 4G data signal. We suggest purchasing a Telstra SIM (pre paid SIMs start at $2) if you need reliable contact and internet as other networks such as Vodafone and Optus are patchy. We do provide a landline phone at our office for emergency use and you can connect to wi-fi at our reception but not at your cottage.
This is our most Romantic and sought after Cottage. The cottage is settled alone on a ledge between green hills - the scenery is dramatic, your view is uninterrupted, your seclusion is ultimate. It boasts a spa bath, outdoor shower and a fireplace as well as an industrial kitchen with every possible need catered for.
Barcoo Cottage has a contemporary design with floor to ceiling glass frontage facing our World Heritage Listed Mountain View. It also boasts an amazing outdoor fire pit with comfort seating under the stars and an indoor and outdoor dining setting. This cottage is also fully accessible for people with disability and complies with all Australian standards.

This is the most amazingly enchanting farm getaway we’ve been to! Everything about Worendo cottages is beautiful. We stayed at the homestead and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. If you haven’t been here, you’ve missed out on an Incredibly beautiful (and affordable) experience. Nathan and his family are incredibly welcoming and accomodating so please support them by booking at Worendo!
P.S. We’ll be back Nathan and Jodie 😉

We’ve just come back from a wonderful stay at Worendo. We stayed in Barcoo cottage, which was spotlessly clean with the most amazing views. Nathan was a great host and our 2 year old daughter loved feeding the animals everyday. Thank you for a lovely time, we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Worendo Cottages. It was truly beautiful and amazing. The accommodation is well set up and warm even on nights that get down to or below 0°C. Everything you need for a quiet escape away.
Thank you, Nathan for sharing your slice of paradise with us. The offer of a late check out was greatly appreciated (which ended up with us staying an extra night because we just weren't ready to go home!) Our family has made some long lasting memories here. The kids loved feeding the animals everyday. As we were leaving the kids said "this should be our house now!" They didn't want to leave

We stayed in the Wild Lime Cottage. I was concerned it would be too small for a family of four because it only had a queen bed and converted sofas for the kids. But I was WRONG! Our two girls slept on comfortable beds in the lounge and the place was huge!
A big deck overlooking an incredible view. A massive kitchen (they do cooking schools here in non-COVID times) with a lovely big dining table that we could spread out a large puzzle on one end and eat with plenty of room on the other end.
The sheep who visited were lovely, and we got to hand feed them (along with some cattle) in the afternoons

We had a weekend away in the Wild Lime Cottage and absolutely loved it! The views from the cottage are gorgeous and the kitchen is set up with everything you could possibly need. The afternoon animal feeding was also a treat. Can't wait to visit again!

Nathan & Jody provided a first class stay in true A+ country comfort style. We stayed 3 leisurely days in the "Treehouse" cottage enjoying sleep-ins in their comfy bed, in-house cooking in their fully equipped kitchen, country walks along rolling hills, befriending the local farm animals including bluey the sheep, swimming & kayaking in the local creek with no one else around and our cheese bickies and wine, all the while enjoying unobstructed views across the magnificent valley of "the lost world". There is no wifi so we downloaded a few movies before we came and watched those in comfort at night

Our extended family of 18 and 3 dogs stayed here recently and had a fabulous time. We stayed in the main homestead, ajoining tree house and 2 of the other cottages. There was so much to keep the kids busy with camp fires, bushwalking, kayaking, mountain biking, animal feeding etc etc. No screen time! There were great facilities for us all to eat in the main household but also have some individual family time when needed. Nathan was the perfect host. Thankyou!

My new wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon and loved it. We had to take our two young boys with us and they had a blast running around fields, petting the sheep and chickens. Being relatively remote brings a peace that can’t be replicated in the city. We stayed in the Tree house cabin and were impressed. Well maintained, very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved having the wood fire on in the evening. Would love to go back sometime without the kids in tow.
