You may not expect a lawyer you consult about a relationship breakdown to be genuinely interested in your wellbeing but at Feeney Family Law, we are. You have many roles in life and being a partner is not the only one. You have to ensure you can continue to meet your other obligations and fulfil your other roles in life.
You have many roles in life and being a partner is not the only one. You have to ensure you can continue to meet your other obligations and fulfil your other roles in life. That may mean you ask for a referral to a counsellor, join a gym or just recognise that there is only one you and that you might feel stretched to the point of breaking after separation and during any resolution process.
Decide best course of action based on our advice - based on timelines and feedback about your situation. Collaborative law offers an alternative method of resolving the issues that arise from the breakdown of a domestic relationship. Collaborative law offers a solution that is tailored to your individual circumstances.
Kay Feeney is no stranger to the Family Law system, having worked as a Family Law Solicitor for most of her 33 years in the industry and being recognised as an Accredited Family Law Specialist by the Queensland Law Society. She has previously worked for well-respected law firms as a Special Counsel in Family Law in which she has gained vast experience in working with parents, children and the hardships that can come with raising a family.
Your first meeting with us is a chance for you to get a general overview of the family law process and how it relates to your circumstances. You can discuss with your solicitor what you want to achieve and they can help you review your options for how to do it. The important thing is that you walk away with a good understanding of your options and possible outcomes.

A good while ago they provided some adequate assistance in the form of a referral to an adequate Barrister, but overall a somewhat opaque response. As a male.litigant I found more supportive and pro-active Lawyering from a subsequent, and at least as equally professionally recognised, high-quality male lawyer elsewhere.

Kay is professional in her work ethic, knowledge and experience with an outstanding reputation in family law. Kay also showed an immense amount of empathy and compassion to the circumstances of my family. Kay Feeney works on finding solutions and being fair. She stands up for what is right and delivers winning results every time! The team at Feeney Family Law are also an asset to her, in particular Michael, Hayley, Nardene and Paula. For peace of mind, professionalism and a fantastic team, I would highly recommend Feeney Family law to support families through the trials of separation.
