Learn how to ride while enjoying the scenery of our diverse environments. At Black Mountain Hideaway we offer a wide range of adventurous and exiting trailrides. From short, historical, interpretive, low-impact tours to full days of action. Every tour begins with a brief of horsemanship which includes safety guidelines and instruction.
The wide variety of native flora found on our farm attracts a large selection of birds and butterflies. The magnificent Dollar Bird and noisy Pittas are often seen swooping through the tree tops. Rarely, will one leave the picturesque farm without seeing a Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher glide past the wing mirror of the car!
We run a 5 day certificate program for both beginners and more experienced riders. You will learn a lot of important as well as interesting horsemanship ideals whilst experiencing an Australian farm life. Suzie, Saxon and their staff enjoy sharing their experience and knowledge with others and they offer specially designed Jackaroo and Jillaroo courses.
Black Mountain Hideaway offers a fun and exciting opportunity for your children and gives them the ultimate feeling of freedom in a rich and natural environment. The camps are up to one week, this can include treks and trail rides for all levels of riders up to 18 years old. We cater from 10 years old (for camps without parent or guardian present).
