As soon as you arrive at Bistro Molines, in the heart of the Hunter Valley Vineyards, you will be cocooned in an atmosphere of hospitality. Every guest is made to feel special whether with something as elaborate as a small croquembouche for a birthday, a special champagne cocktail from Sally or a warm welcome by a familiar member of staff.
At Bistro Molines you could easily imagine you were in the South of France. Wrought iron chairs and candelabras, white painted cupboards and casual flower arrangements, paved courtyard and vines that stretch almost as far as the eye can see all speak 'Provence'.

With a loyal following of locals and visitors from Newcastle, Sydney and beyond, the menu reflects a commitment to locally sourced, in season produce but keeps the long time favourites. Robert's menu doesn't stray far from his French roots.
And this is never more evident than when Robert prepares the dishes of his native Provence or shows off his and Sally's passions - the herb and vegetable garden outside the restaurant kitchen door or eggs from Robert's 'girls'.Commence your dining experience with a choice of single or shared entrees & delicious mains.

Overblown roses surrounding the property and spilling out of vases, a wisteria covered courtyard and a dining room with French provincial touches; what could be more romantic? Choose very European style long tables overlooking the vineyard for a sit down dinner for up to 90 guests, or cocktail style for 90-130 guests.

Great place!! Service was perfect, the food was really good authentic French cuisine, the lamb brains is a must try!, reminded me of my mum’s one when i was a kid. The duck was great, the fish cooked to perfection, the portion are very generous, definitely worth the price, will go back there next time we are in the Hunter :)

A definite favourite of ours - Bistro Molines ticks alot of boxes. They have decent service, they have some outstanding food and plenty of variety as well. Their menu has changed few times, including seasonal additions, but there always seems to be a good coverage for all tastes. They have a great wine list, reasonably priced given the style of restaurant. And they have a damn decent view for the most part, so that's great for the lunch or long day dinners.

Second time back here and doesn't seem to fail! What a spectacular view and delicious food. Came here with 2 other friends and they could not be thankful enough for showing them such a fantastic dining experience. Entree we had the house made linguini served with fresh diamond shell clams, prawns and lemon veloute. Mains was cooked beef short rib, sardelaise potato, portobello mushroom, red wine jus and smoked bone marrow. WOW the best beef short rib I have had. Wish you were much closer so that friends and family can go here to try out the menu. Desserts were Rhubarb special, orange pudding and

We had lunch here as part of our wedding anniversary hunter valley trip. We were given the best table with amazing view which was much appreciated. Food was just as amazing. Tried the lambs brains for entrees and it looked and tastes divine. Other dishes were also top notch. Our waitress Stacey was very friendly and helpful which made the whole dining experience totally enjoyable and will be dining here again when we visit HV next time to try out other dishes on their menu. One of the must-go restaurant in HV.
