Antique furniture is one of our specialties. We have expertise in the associated craft's such as French polishing and woodturning. We can therefore match the original design of antiques precisely, including the wood's used by the original craftsmen such as rosewood, walnut, mahogany and European oak.
There are several factors to keep in mind when considering recovering your furniture. The main ones to consider are: recover VS new, the frame quality, the advantage of fabric choice, whether to recover or re-upholster or re-model. It is often cheaper to recover an existing piece than to buy a new one of comparable quality.
Thank you for the work done on our two lounge chairs, they look great (Frank gives them two thumbs up as well) and for the great customer service, we will definitely keep you in mind if we ever need work done down the track. Marcel reupholstered two 20-year old sofas for me - I'm very happy with the result, they look great with more modern detailing and are so comfy with new foam seats. I was worried that cost of reupholstering might not stack up against buying new but Marcel's pricing is very competitive, making this a great sustainable option. What a great experience it was working with Marcel. From the initial consultation where he helped my choose the covering fabric and the filler for the cushions, to helping sort out the stain and UV resistance treatments through to the pick up and delivery of the chair ahead of schedule. The quality of work that Marcel has delivered is first class and he has resurrected my beaten up wreck of a chair and made it into a piece of furniture that I will treasure for years to come. Marcel did an excellent job re-covering my 2 and 3 seater mid-century lounge, and replacing the seat foam. It's exactly what I had in mind and the craftsmanship is perfect.
Marcel was easy to communicate with, and made the whole process very convenient. I didn't need to travel anywhere, rather Marcel came to my apartment (at times that suited me) to bring fabric samples, do measurements, and again to deliver the finished product, also offering to remove the old cushions which I appreciated.

We recently had our much loved and rather large 12 year old lounge re-upholstered by Marcel and his team at Cover-It Upholstery. From the beginning our interactions with Marcel were very friendly and helpful. We were delighted to get back our superbly upholstered and wonderfully comfortable 3 seater and accompanying ottoman.
