Services
A regular massage treatment would last for 1 hour, however for those of you who feel they need a little bit more attention and care for certain areas we do have a 90 minute treatment available. Full body Lymphatic Drainage massage can take up to 90 minutes to achieve the best result. For those of you with time constraints, or have only one area that needs treatment, perhaps a shorter consultation of 30 minutes would be best suited to you.
When muscles and tendons become tense, knotted, strained or injured, Remedial Massage provides treatment that can be gently or strong, deep or shallow. Remedial Massage holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort as far as possible back to the original cause, thus healing both the cause of the disorder and reducing or eliminating symptoms.
Kinesiology taping was developed by a Japanese chiropractor Dr Kenzo Kase. It can be used effectively in any sports or non-sports related setting. Most types of athletic tape have very little or no stretch, however kinesiology tape is very elastic and can be stretched to 120-180% of its original size.
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).
Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, light touch technique that works to release restrictions in the fascia (the connective tissue that organizes the tissues and organs in our bodies) and craniosacral system (the fluid and membranes that nourish and protect the brain and spinal cord) to promote optimal functioning and reduced pain.
